Not Today
Oh my goodness. My head. It is heavier than my belly right now. Just about the time when most women in my pregnant state would be praying for baby to come out already, I am praying she stays put. Not today. Not until I get better, please! Sleep. And rest. I need.
And I'm writing at 5 Minutes For Parenting about another day coming up that could quite possibly be my baby's birthday, next week, you know the day.
Oh no; hope you feel better very quickly!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling. I so wasn't ready for Stella the day she was born. I thought I had 10 more days! Fingers crossed for the other day too!
ReplyDeleteGiggles! I know it's not funny, but I went through a major case of the flu the week Esme was due. And I was so annoyed that she wasn't coming yet that it probably made things worse. But I don't know how I would have handled it being sick and blowing my poor little nose all through labor.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I was feeling a tiny bit better, she came - two weeks late by my calculation. And in retrospect, I was so grateful for that delay!
Feel better! And Ivy, stay put a little longer!
ReplyDeleteTake care, hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteMaybe try some hot tea with honey and lemon?
*hugs* to momma!
Aww man, I hope you feel better soon...
ReplyDeleteIsn't the flu a sign that the baby will come soon? I had it bad with my first, ended up in the hospital ensuring it wasn't strep day after Xmas, and lo and behold, was in labor!
ReplyDelete*huge feeling better hugs*
Oh no! Hang in there and rest up really good. You have a big week ahead of you! :)
ReplyDeleteget your rest. your body is getting ready. I will say a prayer for ya today.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you should get your sleep first! Hoping you feel better soon, so Ivy can come on out already! :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better very soon! Im sure sweet Ivy will wait...Im crossing my fingers for you!
ReplyDeleteHow Awful!!! I'm sorry your head is hurting so badly!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon dear!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better quickly!!
ReplyDeleteGet some rest. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh honey! It's going around, lately. Hope it clears up soon. Take care...
ReplyDeleteI am praying for you to get over that feeling in your head, so you can focus on more important things.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get over that soon so you can at least partially enjoy these last few moments...
ReplyDeleteOh no... I'm sooooo sorry that you're sick right now. I hope your little girl stays put for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Charlie won't share his birthday after all. Healing vibes your way...
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Quick, go take a nap! Put your feet up. Relax! And feel better!
ReplyDeleteme too... cough, sneeze, wince in pain. Sinusitis all the way. I'm trying to pull it together for couples night out tonight. At least I'll look cute!
ReplyDeleteHere's to a speedy recovery! And no Ivy until you feel better!
Getting over a head cold myself, but at least I don't have a baby due. At almost 42, I am probably past having anything other than Grandbabies. However, I hope that won't be for a few more years yet, my dd is only 19.
ReplyDeletePraying that you feel better quickly & your dear sweet bundle waits long enough for you to be ready for her.
Yeah, I know the day. That's the day we leave the East Coast to travel to China to get our daughter.
ReplyDeleteOriginally, I was a little freaked out about leaving my four oldest to travel across the world "that day" to get my new daughter. But I figure, it's a perfect day to focus on change, on the joy we are facing, and the opportunities I can only celebrate in the US. To redeem my previous feelings of dread about the day. . . and turn it around to a day for our family to honor for a different reason. No less or more special, just different. Certainly happier.
Get some rest and take care of yourself!!
