I've been wanting to do some sort of belly casting-ish thing for a while now. I knew that the baby was going to come sooner than later, so after walking almost three miles in a parade yesterday, I'm really feeling like she might be coming now. Last night Ashlee was kind enough to let me get her place messy and she & Arianne sculpted like the artists they are by doing a belly imprint for me.

I have been up on & off all night and am probably up for a while now. I'm thinking that maybe baby is coming soon? I know that parade walk at least did a little something...
Belly, 38 weeks
Belly Imprint by Belly Vita
How exciting!! I'm going to be checking your blog pretty obsessively these next few days :)
ReplyDeleteWow...you amaze me, to have the energy to do this after walking 3 miles. I bet that casting was cold. How neat. I figured I would get a call during the night, but at least I did have a nights sleep in case I am needed today.
ReplyDeleteI am SO impressed that you walked the whole three miles! I walked a mile a day up until I went into labor, but certainly not three miles... in a parade. You're amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe belly cast looks beautiful. Is this the first one you've done?
Oh hon! How exciting to have a belly cast. I always thought about it and never did it. You'll be happy to have it.
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE she's coming soon! You're due in about 10 days, right?
:)
Hope it's this week rather than next.
Good luck!
Love the cast! I am watching Twitter!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!!! Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteHope it's SOON - i can't believe you walked three miles!
Hugs,
Heidi
I felt the same way yesterday with all the digging/gardening we did. As if the 'low' feeling/pressure wasn't enough, last night I was having double the amount of contractions as normal. Lead no where though, but today's a new day! Our babies are coming!!
ReplyDeleteI have a belly casting kit here to do as well :) Are you going to leave yours plain or paint it? :)
It was so much fun and it turned out gorgeous! I love your after picture!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to start holding my breath now ;)
So exciting! That's a lot of walking. Good for you (and Ivy!)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I was wondering if you could share a website that gives instructions on how to wear a mei tai baby carrier?? Thank you so much!!

Wuhoo!! She'll be here before you know it =)
ReplyDeleteOh - I've got a BW question. How the heck do you carry your diaper bag AND wear the baby? LOL I struggle with this!
How cool is that. I wish I would done it when I was pregnant with my twins. You look fabulous!!
ReplyDeletevery cool casting thing! how exciting that baby is probably coming soon...yea!
ReplyDeleteThat's great Steph!! Remember, the 9th at 10:48. LOL...
ReplyDeleteYou are a better woman than I...I couldn't even make it to 38 weeks, and walking was outta the question! You are amazing!
Nice belly casting! How on earth did you have the energy for 3 miles? She must be coming soon if you have that much energy!
ReplyDeleteWalking, walking, walking has always been my approach when it was time for my babies to get out! I always felt like I had worked so hard for nine plus months to create a hospitable environment and they didn't want to leave! So I had to make things a little less "comfortable."
ReplyDeleteI adore belly cast. Thinking good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHi! I just came across your blog and wanted to comment on how great I think it is. I also felt the need for some reason to share that I am also a Steph married to a Jeff with three little boys. So how many times did you get the "you need to try for a girl!" comment before this one? Probably not as many times as me! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! (sending labor vibes your way)
What do you plan on doing with the cast? Get some rest, I will be thinking of you and your baby.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics. It was so special for me to be able to do this for you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can't sleep, waiting for the phone to ring from you and/or Sarah. I'm so excited!
what a beautiful idea to do a belly cast. Such a precious and sweet memory.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine how much you are looking forward to the arrival of Ivy! I'm excited for you!
You and Ivy will be in my thoughts and prayers over the next couple of weeks.
I love the belly imprint. I don't mean to be silly here, but what do you do with it now?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm impressed you walked in a parade! Ivy HAS to be on the way now!
I'm really wondering how you are doing now! I'll be checking in on you now that you have me wondering!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!!

Oooh how exciting!!
ReplyDeleteOH I cant wait to hear that baby Ivy is here! And that is cool with the belly cast! What a neat way to look back at being pregnant! Though I was wondering, what will you do with it now as a way to store it and keep it safe?
ReplyDeleteSo excited that little Ivy will be here soon :)
ReplyDeleteSo how are you feeling??? hope everything goes well! Can't wait to meet this little one!
ReplyDeleteThat. Is. Precious. I think people who are having their fourth child may not think of doing something like this. The fact that you did just warms my heart...
ReplyDeleteYour belly cast is really neat. You should take a newborn picture of Ivy all curled up inside of it.
ReplyDeleteI'll be following you on Twitter awaiting the good news.
So cool!
ReplyDeleteSO cool!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I didn't do that but always thought it was very cool.
ReplyDeleteYay! It came out so, so lovely!
ReplyDeleteNow the little doll can make her appearance.
I am sending you happy, healthy delivery vibes.
