I promise sometime in the future I'll resume writing about things other than my new baby girl. But for now, I can't get enough of her girliness and how she sleeps with her rumpy in the air. And those socks! And cheeks! And the little sweater and hat I made for her. And oh my.

She sings, she really does. And I sing to her...
Your Song
Yours are the sweetest eyes, I've ever seen
And you can tell everybody that this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is, now that you're in the world
How wonderful life is, now that you're in the world.
You have good reason to be smitten! She's beautiful. There's nothing so wonderful as a new baby!

I like reading about Ivy. It's so wonderful having a new baby girl. Kind of makes me want another one!
ReplyDeleteTonight I was eating celery and Suzi insisted on trying it. I figured she'd hate it, because not many kids like celery, but she loved it! I had to cut her up some tiny little pieces to eat. Maybe soon you and Ivy will be eating celery together :-)
I love this! What a great song for your baby girl, and you can be sure I don't mind.

Oh, don't stop writing about her just yet. I think we're all in love with her precious-ness, too!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, please stop. Stop posting those pictures of her perfection and sharing all the joys of a new baby. Stop because they make my ovaries pulse!! ;P She's just too much cuteness.
ReplyDeleteTHANK you for sharing her with the rest of us.
What an inspiring and loving way to love your daughter and to blog about her during this babymoon (and for the rest of her life of course). I also really love reading about how excited the boys are, that is truly precious.
ReplyDeleteI love it and it brings me back to my moments with my children. And of course, it makes me want to go there and experience it all again, although, I won't lie, I would be a little nervous to do all that wonderful birthing at home (if that were an option for me). You are a super woman Steph.
A very belated, yet loving congratulations to you and your family from mine. Sending you huge hugs right now.
She looks just precious in her new hat and sweater!
