I watched your videos. Is carrying a newborn in a ring sling really your favorite? I have a Zolowear ring sling that I used with my son when he was a newborn and I always felt like the rings inched down and my shoulder hurt terribly! I was shown how to wear it and it always looked right - it just never FELT right. I ended up with a Mobywrap, which I love, but during my son's first months I just dealt with the discomfort while I wore him in a ring sling.
I'd love it if you'd talk about (on yoir vlog) your favorite kind of ring sling, the keys to making it fit comfortably, and how to tell whether a certain brand is right for you! For example, I'm interested in trying a more padded sling - but is there a downside to using a padded sling as opposed to something unpadded like my Zolowear ring sling?
Your little girl is so adorable. I love the pouch sling, and am thankful for your video on how to use it, since I never was quite sure at first. It does go by so fast! I wish they grew slower.
What a beautiful little girl!!! So precious! Thanks for the video- I have never used a pouch or sling but have a 3rd on the way and may need something like that. I had a baby bjorn with the other 2 but no longer have it. It looks like such a great way to have your hands free!
Just darling! I can't believe how the time flies--two weeks already, and mine's already pushing six months. I watched your videos and totally wished I'd seen them a few months ago--you have a good way of explaining how to get 'em in there and feel secure. We did manage to figure out how to do the cradle hold and the tummy to tummy hold as a newborn in the ringsling and as she's getting older she loves the kangaroo carry as well--she has always LOVED it. Lately, it's the best and sometimes only way to get her to sleep, especially away from home.
Steph- I watched your sling videos last night and I'll have to bookmark them. I LURVE all my pouch slings and it's sometimes hard to explain to others how to wear them, say, over the phone. So this will be a handy-dandy reference to shell out, thanks!!
I know what you mean about it going quickly. I've thought the same thing about my little one. Darn time anyways! How come the good stuff always goes by fast?
Thanks for the ring sling video. My sister in law is making me a sling for a shower gift, and my husband is terrified that it won't be a secure way to carry our son! I'll show him the video and hopefully he'll feel a little better about it.
Thanks for the videos. Now I really want to try a pouch! :) You mentioned that it's really hard to find a pouch that fits right. Do you have any great tips to help that happen.
Do you have a favorite brand? Thanks Prairie Lady http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/PrairieLadyCraft
Having a girl is such a powerful thing. I'm such a better woman than before, because I'm constantly reminding myself to talk out loud about how strong I am, how fun to be able to do whatever I want and then go get dressed up, how beautiful and amazing my body is for being able to give birth and then kickbox. Raising girls is a GIFT. Congrats!
i can't believe how much she smiles! What a happy girl...
ReplyDeleteJust precious! Shocked its been 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same thing as Naomi. She's so happy, and super sweet.
ReplyDeleteDoes that baby girl ever fuss or cry? She looks so content and happy!
ReplyDeleteShe is darling.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you mentioned who your videographer was, it did make me a little dizzy! I was hoping it was a kid not the hubby, ha ha!

ReplyDeleteWatched your ring sling and pouch sling videos. Fly never took to the cradle hold, either -- and it took me too long to figure that out.
If I ever have a second child, I'll probably come crying to you for babywearing advice!
