You'd have thought it was my very first kiss ever. We'd gone on many dates already, and I'm sure he wanted to kiss me long before, but there, in the dark kitchen of my parents' house, as we were getting ready to say goodbye for the night, he asked if he could kiss me. And I said yes.
In just two more months he'd ask me to marry him. And I said yes.
This morning I asked him if I could write about our first kiss. He said do you want to know the exact date? I have it written down.
I love this man.
It was November 7, 1998. We married October 9, 1999 and had our first big kiss in front of a very large audience .
I am so glad I said yes. This post has been submitted to Scribbit's August Write Away Contest "First Kiss."

ReplyDeleteWe didn't kiss for several months, then we decided to wait to kiss again until we were engaged (nearly 2 years later!). It was agonising!
Awww! Having the date written down makes him my hero!
ReplyDeleteThis is the MOST romantic post!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to suggest that one to hubby... write it down! What a sweetie you have.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
ReplyDeleteI supppose it could be considered a sign of things to come that our first kiss was by the light of the computer screen...
Aww, how sweet that he remembered the date! I love that picture too. A first kiss is so special. Actually, I recently pitched a fit because my in-laws were giving us their previous couch and wanted to take our old one to Goodwill. The one Jordan and I had our first kiss on. After I started crying, Jordan quickly agreed to let the couch live in our bedroom until we remodel and have room for it elsewhere :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh--he saved the date! Wow!! Great story!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the boxes idea--I've got plenty of moving boxes that could be contributed to the cause!
Blessings!
How awesome is he for writing down the date?!
ReplyDeleteHH and I cannot even agree on when we started dating... but I know it was September of '98.
