We Kissed By The Light Of The Oven Clock

It felt like forever, but we were officially dating one whole month before hubby and I had our first kiss. It was a moment I had been waiting for, but was so incredibly nervous about.

You'd have thought it was my very first kiss ever. We'd gone on many dates already, and I'm sure he wanted to kiss me long before, but there, in the dark kitchen of my parents' house, as we were getting ready to say goodbye for the night, he asked if he could kiss me. And I said yes.

In just two more months he'd ask me to marry him. And I said yes.

This morning I asked him if I could write about our first kiss. He said do you want to know the exact date? I have it written down.

I love this man.

It was November 7, 1998. We married October 9, 1999 and had our first big kiss in front of a very large audience .I am so glad I said yes.

What a great guy!! Not many guys would write that stuff down. My husband still has the note where I wrote my phone number down for the first time asking him to call me. :)

Hey! Your first kiss was on my b-day, and your wedding was on Josh's b-day! :)

We didn't kiss for several months, then we decided to wait to kiss again until we were engaged (nearly 2 years later!). It was agonising!

So sweet!

I supppose it could be considered a sign of things to come that our first kiss was by the light of the computer screen...

Aww, how sweet that he remembered the date! I love that picture too. A first kiss is so special. Actually, I recently pitched a fit because my in-laws were giving us their previous couch and wanted to take our old one to Goodwill. The one Jordan and I had our first kiss on. After I started crying, Jordan quickly agreed to let the couch live in our bedroom until we remodel and have room for it elsewhere :-)

Ohhhh--he saved the date! Wow!! Great story!
Thanks for the boxes idea--I've got plenty of moving boxes that could be contributed to the cause!
Blessings!

Hi, Stephanie. We met briefly at the Kirtsy/Alltop party at Guy Kawasaki's house a few weeks ago. I'm finally getting through all of the business cards I collected at BlogHer. How nice to come to your blog and read such a lovely story. Thanks for sharing!

Uh oh, now I feel guilty for not remembering the date. Do remember the kiss however, where we spoke for the first time (and what she said) and a bunch of other fun things.

Nice story!
