Carter's staying the night at Mimi's tonight and it feels like I'm missing a limb.
Maybe I need to cut the cord, maybe I need to let them wander from the nest once in a while, but maybe I just love all my babies so much and like to have them close.
There is nothing wrong in that at all.
totally agree. i don't ever want them away...ever! love them all too much!

ReplyDeleteI laugh...my mom is a MiMi too:) Like MEME...
ReplyDeleteMine to will go off to Mimi I think it is worse for us then it is for the kiddos
I know EXACTLY what you mean! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you're hanging in there!
Aw, I miss him just reading about this. I bet his brudders are missin him too.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine when these kids go to college? Ack!
nothing wrong with that at all.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! and I don't even want to think about them going away for college! Is there a homeschool option? :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. My kids have had sleepovers with Gram this week, and we miss them too when they are gone. It is so cute how they miss each other!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Jen
I feel the same way when Roo is staying with her grandparents. It's nice that they have that bond, but I miss her so much.
ReplyDeleteI know it's hard to let them go but he'll be better for it.
ReplyDeleteHug him extra when he gets home to you Momma! : )
What a sweet photo!
ReplyDeleteLetting them go is bittersweet . . .
There's definitely nothing wrong with it. People always ask us why we don't let out 18 month old stay overnight, and I just blink at them like they're speaking Chinese. Give me a few more years before I can deal with an overnight!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. My kids did not spend the night away from me until they turned 5.
ReplyDeleteThere is absolutely nothing wrong with that!!! Love the picture of the boys too! :)
ReplyDeleteNope, nothing wrong with that at all. Hold them close now because before you know it, they will have flown the coop and be adults themselves.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with that at all, but I know he probably had a great time.
ReplyDeleteSweetie, I feel just like that and my oldest is 22.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. Yay for Mimi having him over though, it is good memories for him :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well!
I have given you an award! Visit my blog and check it out you brilliant blogger you!
ReplyDeleteI am also with you on cutting the cord--it's HARD!
Even though our oldest goes to his grandparents a few times each year I still miss him...mostly at the night time when I see an empty bed.
ReplyDeleteYou are entitled to keeping him under your wing as long as you can. He is your baby Carter. We had such a good time and I know his brothers missed him.
ReplyDeleteI know EXACTLY how you feel.
ReplyDeleteMy lil guy spent his first nigth away from me recently. It was actually a whole weekend. Difficult for me, but he had a great time with Mom-mom.
ReplyDeleteTotally understand!!!!
ReplyDeleteNope, absolutely nothing wrong with that! I'm so attached to my little guy like I never knew I could be!
ReplyDeleteNothing at all. I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteI was the sme way! My twins went for a sleep over with their meme for the first time in their five years and I cried all day!
ReplyDeleteNope there is definitely nothing wrong with that. My girls are 5 and 3, and they have never spent the night away from me ;). I'm hoping my oldest doesn't have to for the first time tomorrow night incase they keep my husband in the hospital since we will be 2.5 hours away from home. I am getting anxiety just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, they're still babies. Hold 'em and hug 'em snuggly.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! Amen!
ReplyDeletevery sweet photo....
ReplyDeleteI.am.so.there.with.you.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost panic when they're not with me :( Birth is going to be hard, again, because I'll be away from them all, except the new one.
