I'm ready! I think I'm ready. I've made a lot of progress on her little sweater and since I'll probably have it finished this weekend, I might have to start on a little hat to go with it.
In the meantime, placenta brain is on overload here. That's what I call the extreme forgetfulness and clumsy-ness of pregnancy. Blame it on the 'centa. We all know about my poor car & stroller (which by the way I was sent a new stroller frame!), and within the past 24 hours I've broken two dishes.
And then, well, last night coming in from the grocery store I remember placing my iPhone on hubby's car (who knows why) and then didn't think about it until this morning when, oh, he'd already been gone quite a while. Ugh.
That crazy placenta. I'm talking more about it over here today.
Blame it on the 'centa. Ha! That's a good one. What do you call it after the baby is born?
ReplyDeleteOh no...not the iphone! I can relate though. I have that brain more than when I'm just pregnant though. lol
ReplyDeleteBaby is coming soon! YAY :)
Nell
hahaha!! I blamed "placenta brain" for much of my foibles during my oldest daughter's first year... and am doing it again with my 6-month old. Nevermind the fact that both are adopted. heehee
ReplyDeleteOOOo no! My friend Katie used to have placenta brain before Catherine was born! That is too funny. I hope your phone is okay.
ReplyDeleteI think September 10th would be FABULOUS! :) That is my 26th birthday!
Oh my! Did you find your phone? In how many pieces?
ReplyDeleteMan, I think I've got some issues.... Too bad I don't have a placenta to blame it on.
Wait, I do.. sorta... They're just older now not needing any placenta.
looks as if all systems go!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting SO close!! How exciting! Praying for you.

ReplyDeleteI would have cried! Poor sweet iphone...
ReplyDeleteI think I just have uterus brain. It doesn't have the same ring to it...
Well I lost 2 cells phones and I also hit my husbands truck with my brand new car when I was pregnant.
ReplyDeletehmmm, yes, i think my brain still lies with my placenta in our chest freezer...
ReplyDeleteYes, it really sucks the blood out of our brains doesn't it!!!
ReplyDeleteHeidi
I always called it pregnant head, but just like my waist it was never the same again.
ReplyDeleteBummer about the iPhone. I've done that so many times, with CDs, drinks, you name it! My possessions probably scream when I head out the door with them in hand rather than safely stowed in my purse :)
ReplyDeletePlacenta brain--too funny.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the phone.
Um, can you still use the 'centa excuse when your child is a toddler?
ReplyDeleteHope your phone ends up okay.
Ouch on the phone ..... that one really hurts.
ReplyDeleteLove reading about your placenta brain ... that is a good one. Kind of and funny how that happens though doesn't it? My hubby claims that it has remained with me on a permanent basis since becoming a Mom and I just tell him that it is because I can't multi task 24/7 efficiently that something is bound to drop ....and of course I do claim that my gray hair has something to do with it too.
It's almost time!! I love your little sweater -adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think you should have her on September 9. It's a good day (my bday of course :) )
ReplyDeleteOk, I've been confused this whole time since getting your email about losing your phone. I thought it said you lost it IN his car, and I was thinking....uh, why do you have to get a new one. I seriously didn't get it! Geesh. If I didn't know better, I'd think I had placenta brain!
ReplyDeleteOh, and September 10th is Popeye's birthday!! Yay!
ReplyDeletefinally catching up on my blogs. I started to write this really long comment and realized- wow that would be a great post of my own. So here it is.

Can't wait to get the tweets about the pending birth - maybe you could twitpic the new baby like ASAP after.
