I'm 27 weeks along today. The waddle has started. And my belly has conveniently become a nice little shelf perfect for propping books and checking my iPhone. I find myself listening to my body more and more, resting a lot, putting my feet up, and sleeping as much as possible. I'm making a baby in there! It's magical. I forget that I've done this three times before. Because it really does feel like the very first time.
You look very cute. I'm finding that not only did my pregnancy with Aisling feel like the very first time, but it feels like I'm a mom for the first time too.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a cute picture. I thought the title meant that you just turned 27 years old :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
ReplyDeleteI love the pregnant waddle.
She'll be here before we all know it!
That "shelf" sure comes in handy sometimes. Matt makes fun of me when I use my prego belly to prop things, but you might as well make use of it. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're looking great.
Ah, I remember those days all too well. I was so bad about leaving crumbs on my "shelf" after I'd eaten. Everyone knew what I had for lunch.
ReplyDeleteAnd it became more and more difficult to gauge the proper distance between my ever growing belly and cupboards or doors that I'd inadvertently swing open and knock my baby with. He turned out okay though.
You look too cute. Love the apple.
Very cute shelf!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you were just only a few weeks. I can't wait for the little girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm 21 1/2 weeks...getting to that shelf point. You look adorable still. I'm jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteAt the time I was pregnant with Joel we had a chihuahua named Cocoa, and Cocoa loved to curl up on top of the "shelf". He would give me quite a look when Joel moved a lot
ReplyDeleteI'm at 11 weeks and remembering what I felt like when I was pregnant with Bubbalu...it IS magical!
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of a first. Your first girl! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww...darn cute! It's good to hear you are taking care of yourself...soon, soon your little girl will be here!
ReplyDeleteYOu look adorable! I love the waddle too!
ReplyDeleteadorable. The apple goes perfect with your dress.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you -- enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThe shelf is quite useful! Glad that all is well.

Should I admit that I miss that, immensely? Lookin' great, Steph!
ReplyDeleteYou look more beautiful than ever, oh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great picture. I love that dress...and your expression...and the way you approach the miracle of life with such wonder.
ReplyDeleteI love your preggy clothes. I'm having the toughest time myself finding things that fit, as I seem to have gone down a size or two since being pregnant last.
ReplyDeleteI dont think I ever noticed before how you're exactly 1 week ahead of me.
The best part of pregnancy! And you look lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are so beautiful! You could also call it a tray table.
ReplyDeleteTechnically, it is the first time you're doing this! You're making a girl this time! ;D You look awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou wear pregnancy so well. Love the apple on your belly. Cute shot.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute picture! I got into a bad habit of proping my arm up on my belly and now almost a year and a half later I find myself still doing it. Not so cute when there isn't a baby in there.
ReplyDeleteyou look so beautiful! we took a picture of a cup balance on my belly a few weeks ago...hahah!
ReplyDelete27 weeks already? Where does the time go? It may not seem like it to you (you know, since you're the one carrying the baby and all) but it's going by fast!
ReplyDeleteApparently you have a fruit shelf there too! HA!
Cute as always Steph!
LOL your so adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI just read your story about Noah and am blown away... I am a pediatric oncology nurse and used to work at CMH in Chicago. What a great hospital and I am so glad to hear that you found someone who would LISTEN to you there! I also have a son named Noah, so your "Noah's Story" headline caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteI hope that he is still doing well and am so thrilled that you were able to find help for such a debilitating condition - Isn't it amazing how powerful our motherly intuition is!
YEAH!!! You look fantastic! It almost makes me miss being pregnant. Almost. It does make me miss all the great parts - just not the tired, sore back and having to go through labor part.
ReplyDelete(BTW - this is Janice talking not Susan. I am just logged in as Sue and I am too lazy to log out just to leave this comment. Night!)
I love that dress. I also love the stage in pregnancy with the waddle. Pregnant ladies are just a joy to everyone. I just loved that everywhere I went people would just smile. Especially when I had the other kids in tow. Oh how I miss it....and pray I get to have the fourth.
ReplyDelete27 weeks! Wow! It is so exciting to follow along in this beautiful journey. Big prayers for the little girl....
ReplyDeleteahh.. the shelf. :-) i kinda miss my shelf hehe
ReplyDeletei use to prop my cereal bowl on it every morning w/ caleb
LOL How funny. I can't wait for my big belly. Love that dress too ;) ;)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I miss having a shelf on my body.
ReplyDeleteHa! My belly used to make a nice little table for snacking in bed (as long as it was nothing hot). I kind of missed it when Suzi came out!
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm as cute and stylish as you, Lord willing there's a next time!
ReplyDeletelove the apple! ha!
ReplyDeleteI've got a picture of me at my baby shower, and I'm resting my plate of food on my bump!! lol!
Love the apple resting on your belly. Hmmm . . . that's what I'll be looking for next time I run into you. LOL!
ReplyDeleteSteph - you look absolutely adorable! I love the way that you're sharing this experience. I look so forward to your posts. I do agree with you...my second pregnancy did feel like a first and when my 2nd son was born he was so different than my first one that in some ways I felt like a first-time mom. How funny-I just read the same comment from Peanut Butter and Jelly boats!!! :-)
ReplyDeletei've been away...and have enjoyed catching up with you tonight. =)
ReplyDeletegotta love that shelf and waddle! glad you're listening to yourself...enjoy!! =)
Hilarious! I never really used my shelf for anything other than a handrest. :)
ReplyDeleteahh, yes, love the shelf!!

Happy Weekend!
Oh my gosh. That is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love being pregnant? I LOVED being pregnant! I'm so jealous of your ability to breastfeed. I really struggled, but I'm praying next time will be a success!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI still have that book I promised you, and I promise promise I'll get it in the mail next week.
You can use your blog posts as reminders.
If only everyone saw their fourth pregnancy as beautifully as you do. I only dream at this point of a third or fourth and if it does come to pass I hope to remember your words. Magical, truly magical.
