Today we meet with the pediatrician to discuss what we want- or rather don't want- to happen after baby is born. Even though we've chosen to have a hospital birth, I still want to keep it as close to a homebirth-like experience, even after she arrives. It does seem quite early to meet while I'm only 5 months along, but knowing we are in agreement about the procedure of it all will help me with my birth plan and when I am envisioning just what it will all be like. When I think about her birth and the moments after, I have such sweet thoughts.I am 24 weeks and 1 day along. My lilacs and baby are blooming! And apparently so is my belly button...
Awe, you are looking SO GOOD! Love the blooming belly :)
ReplyDeleteIf/when we have another baby, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a midwife. They are covered by health care here, and have full access to the hospital. In fact, I could have a water birth in the hospital with a midwife! Not with my Dr though.
i'd love to here more about your birth plan...whenever our next one comes along, i know i want things to be a little different than they were with jonah.
ReplyDeletep.s. you are gorgeous...love the pic!

ReplyDeleteWith that pic by the photo booth, I was thinking that you are definitely out there now! you are so cute!

Awe such a cute little baby belly!
ReplyDeleteSo precious. I have an outie belly button in the first place, and I actually wore a bandage over it when I was pregnant because it was SO SO HUGE! hehehe. GOD BLESS!
ReplyDeleteso very sweeet!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute belly - my bellybutton always sticks out, too!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and so mad I missed your babywearing linky post! Would have loved to be a part of it.
Just had baby #6 a month and 1/2 ago (homebirth) and looking forward to following your story!
You look so cute!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love the belly button... mine ALWAYS pops out early. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet photo! I didn't believe people when they told me I would regret not taking belly shots during my pregnancy-- but they were right. I only have one or two. Although to be fair, I never had the cute pregnancy "bump" I just got big all over. It was depressing!
ReplyDeleteYou look great!
ReplyDeleteYou and your belly are beautiful! I hope it all goes the way you plan it!
ReplyDeleteI think you look great. #4 is blooming beautifully. I hope you stay cool this summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. You are darling pregnant. And I think that letting your wishes be known early is wise. I had a hospital birth with my son and he was born 3.5 weeks early and I wasn't as prepared as I wanted to be to make sure all we wanted to happen and not happen after he was born.
ReplyDeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to let your doc know early.
You look really cute, I love the belly pictures. I think it's a really great idea to have a birth plan. I have had both my kiddo's at home - one a waterbirth, but if I were to go to the hospital I would have it all planned out. =)
ReplyDeleteadorable picture, you look so cute and i just love your blog. I'm a babywearing mama, too and i added your button to my sidebar because it is just so cute! I hope it all goes well for you, can't wait to stalk out those "might be in labor" posts.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! Love the green top. Hope everything goes according to "plan."
ReplyDeleteHey there! Just found your blog and really enjoy it. I'm a Jesus lovin', coffee drinkin', writing addicted mom who is so love with her husband and kiddos.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on you next little one. You look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!
You look great! Love that color!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful all around!
ReplyDeleteIt is just all so very exciting!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture!
Great picture - it almost looks like you are lying on the lilacs! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look great.
ReplyDeleteMy lilacs are blooming too.
You look great! I will be 24 weeks preggo on Sunday, with #3- wahoo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Beautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen the gorgeous labour sweet that we had with The Baby - most Canadian hospitals are pretty bare bones, but we had a gorgeous, gorgeous spa-like room!
You look awesome! And believe me...my belly button was blooming by 4 months this time around too! haha :)
ReplyDeleteLook at that belly. I wonder if I'll pop early this time also? Beautiful photo...as usual!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture, and I'll bet those lilacs smell wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove hte new-outie. I had the same and she's never quite recovered ;)
ReplyDeletewhat a great picture. and it's never to early to be thinking about your birth plan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! You'll have to tell me how it goes. I'm looking for a good ped. in the area you know!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh . . . I wish I had lilacs in my yard. When we go on walks around the neighborhood, I am stopping at every lilac bush we see to inhale deeply.
ReplyDeleteCute pic! My bbutton always stayed flat - it was super itchy. Planning ahead is the best way to get everything set that way everyone is on the same page early on, especially if you don't want to just go with the flow. You look great!
ReplyDeleteNice port hole. ;)
ReplyDeleteLook at that adorable belly! Good for you for having a plan! It's never too early to be prepared. :-)
ReplyDeleteJane
SOOOO beautiful...thanks for sharing! :) Happy Blooming!
ReplyDeleteI think somehow getting all our "ducks in order" helps our hearts to settle and prepare...must be a momma thing! :)
I just wanted to say... you are so beautiful. I love this picture!
ReplyDeleteoh! sweet, adorable picture!
ReplyDeleteI hope your birth plan goes as nice and smooth as possible.
ReplyDeleteAnd L.O.V.E. the belly!
What a beautiful background for that blossoming belly! ; )
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty picture - and that green shirt that you are wearing is lovely. What a great color!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I kind of miss those prego days! Good luck with the birth planning.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable!
ReplyDeleteI NEVER ever ever looked that adorable preggers. ;)
ReplyDeleteI forgot to come back and comment earlier, but I loved your bloomin' belly shot.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly beautiful...
You look so cute! What don't you want to happen?
ReplyDeleteGood for you for talking to the doctor early about your plan. I pray that you get just the birth experience you want.
ReplyDeleteThe lilacs do not compare in beauty to you and your sweet baby belly. :)
Your super cute baby bump makes me envious! Oh to be "blooming" again... I love the way you write about life and little ones! Great blog. :) Great belly. :)
ReplyDeleteYour belly is beautiful! I love being pregnant myself! I had a hospital birth with my first (like you I wanted it as close to a homebirth as possible), and then I had a homebirth with my second. It was AWESOME! If you have any doubts about your docs/ hospital/ midwives/ pediatrician, consider a homebirth as a viable option. For me, it was exhilarating! Either way, I think that it's great when women take control of their births. God Bless~
ReplyDeletelove the baby belly!
