Overexcited at the promise of seventy degree weather, we attempted a park day.Which resulted in Carter almost shriveling up and dying because of the wind.

And in this photo Gray is actually saying "Save me I'm super cold!" We lasted all of maybe 20 minutes. It took longer to drive there and back. And now Gray says he wants his honeys. I am thinking that it truly is in the kids best interest that Mommy goes away for a couple days. Friday can't come soon enough.
awwww, what a bummer. It is in the 70's here today (super windy) and just beautiful...about time since it has been rainy and cold since, oh I don't know last August! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe boys are super adorable...they always look so stylin' and happy ... like their Mama!
:--) Nell
My boy is the same way! "Just take me, Momma..." or "Snuggle me!" I know it's windy, but c'mon! Shoo! Go play! Glad to hear I'm not alone in our bewilderment over that one.
ReplyDeleteIt is very windy out there, but it sure is nice to see the sun! Sadly they are saying the rain is coming tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe went to a picnic this past weekend, and although the sun was out, I was miserable because the wind was blowing so hard. I can't imagine what it's like up there!
ReplyDeleteah, yes... we have that wind problem, too!
ReplyDeleteHow funny. I know what you mean...the wind almost blew me out of my desk when people would open the front door. There will be plenty of park days ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually glad to here this, because I sent my kids in the backyard to play, and within minutes, Owen was saying, "Mom, it's fweezing out here!" I'm glad he wasn't the only one who thought this! :)
ReplyDeleteMark and I had errands to run this morning. The wind was awful!!!! He hated it too.

We have a windy day here too...COLD and windy, even though the sun is shining. Oh well. :) Maybe tomorrow will be a calmer day - actually I think it's supposed to rain. Which is OK as long as it doesn't SNOW!!
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry I missed it, even though it was short lived. Can't wait to full swing park days!
ReplyDeleteyep...we actually get windburn yesterday on a long walk. If it's not the temp it's that naughty wind....
ReplyDeleteHopefully spring will come soon! Gosh, your trip is coming up quickly!
ReplyDeleteI know, I got tired out just fighting the wind while walking the dog around the block!
ReplyDeleteI've been battling the wind for a few days here too...and now battling the allergies too! AJ just loves the wind and his new kite.
ReplyDeleteThere will be plenty of sunny days ahead, especially down in Florida. :)
His Honeys--that is so. funny!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to see you!
ReplyDeleteYep, we had to hold on TIGHT to our babes at the park today. But it was great! Except for the oops part where I accidentally let my little 8 mo get a sunburn! Those billions of months of winter left me olny worried about her warmth and completely forgot about the sun! Poor baby!
ReplyDeleteI think wind is one of my least favorite weather elements...that and hail!
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful 82 degrees in Denver on Tuesday, but we had very high winds too - which made it miserable to try to play in the sandbox! Of course, Wednesday it was only like 30 degrees here and snowed all day long!
Denver's a bit bi-polar when it comes to weather.
Ugh. I hate it when park days go awry.
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip. Can't wait to hear all about it.
We have been having the same type of weather here. It looks nice out, but the wind makes you want to retreat to the house.
