whale-like. Already. How can this be? All the weight I've lost from the beginning is coming back and probably then-some. I eat quite healthy as I still am very particular about what I can really stomach, so to speak. Lots of salads. Even for breakfast. And grilled yellow squash with a little onion... oh I could live off that! Maybe it's water or just pregnancy gain, but I am just starting to feel...
puffy. The cravings come and go- like the gotta-have-it-this-very-instant desire for Dr. Pepper in a glass bottle the other day. (I didn't indulge- only because I don't think you can get Dr. Pepper in a bottle anywhere around here.) And today's craving- this morning during church no less for...
chicken nachos. and I didn't give in to that one either. Right now it's almost bedtime but I'm seriously considering the frying of some green tomatoes. I've got lots of southern blood running in these veins and I can make a pretty good fried green tomato. And if I had my camera, I'd take a picture of them, too...
Sounds so yummy! I've never made tham, but I should, I love tomatoes in any form! Post a recipe when you've made them :)
ReplyDeleteI love fried green tomatoes!!! Mmmmm. When I was preggo with theBeast I would have such strong cravings that I would cry if theFM wouldn't go to the store for me! What a dork I am.
ReplyDeletesounds delish.....and don't be afraid to indulge yourself a bit!
ReplyDeleteNow I really want a Dr. Pepper...and some fried OKRA!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...not being able to see your belly, and not knowing how big it really is, but I'm just wondering...is there a possibility you're carrying twins? Since you seem to think you are so big already - couldn't help think it!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I actually miss having specific cravings - I always thought that part was fun! Oh, and I LOVE fried green tomatoes! I can't wait to get some planted so I can fry some up! We enjoyed them many times last summer!
Oh man, the good Dr. Pepper... I want it so bad, it was harder to give up than coffee.
ReplyDeleteCravings can be so powerful! Looking forward to seeing your cute belly pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, and I bet you're just too cute still!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya girl.
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous girl. I can imagine after your wash board abs your belly popping feels odd but you can work it preggo, girl. Pull up that preg. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteYou could try your old craving during Carter's gestation - celery!
ReplyDeleteI think it's all about what you feel like, because you certainly don't *look* big. Then again, I didn't know you during your last pgcy's. Are you really bigger than normal?
ReplyDeleteBtw, I've never had fried green tomatoes, sounds delish!
I remember feeling like I had this HUGE belly at 4-5 months... and then when I was 8-9 months along I looked back at some of those pictures and laughed at how tiny I was.
ReplyDeleteI have been craving salads with TONS of tomatoes and vinegar (with a little oil) and Dr. Pepper too! I have been strong about the Dr. Pepper by only splurging on one a week. Too bad we don't live near each other, we could share our indulgences and you could share with me how to make fried green tomatoes-I tried once and they came out kinda slimy and black...
ReplyDeleteAnd if it helps any, my first was born in Sept. too, and after he was born I did a lot of yoga and pilates intro videos inside (since it started getting cold outside)while he slept and they really helped me get the weight off. However, from your first belly shot picture not long ago you looked radiant and beautiful and it sounds like you are doing an awesome job on eating healthy!
I have trouble figuring out the month vs. week thing in pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI was up at midnight last night wanting Frosted Flakes.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're feeling enormous. I am too. I can no longer put Woggie to bed in his crib. The hubby has to come & get him and put him down. I've mashed fingers and nearly broke his arm trying to get him in there. Yikes!!!
haha..I never really had any cravings...I think I missed out. I had an anti craving for ice cream, though...used to eat it all the time before PG and didn't want any during PG!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! That's so funny because I tell Fly I'm going to grab his belly button and fry it up like a green tomato.... Just being silly.... I'm sure you don't really look like a whale.
