Ball Of Nerves... And Look What Came Today!

I just printed my airline tickets to Disney. I'm so excited!

Should I check my luggage or just bring carry-ons? Will I be able to take my knitting on the plane? What am I allowed to pack, anyway? What tunes must I have on my iPod? Ah!!!!

And this just came to my door with a sweet note from Maria Bailey- thank you so much Maria & Lands' End!

When are you leaving? I would be a ball of nerves also. Excitement and scared! I don't know if your knitting needles will be allowed on the plane...I hope so! It'll help you pass the time.

I've flown with bamboo needles in my carry-on with no problem at all! Remember to put those liquids in a quart size ziplock (and bring an extra one just in case) :-)

Go online to TSA or your airline or call a travel agent or the airport to find out what you can or can't take in your carry on luggage. Remember this can change at any time so call close to departure. The more you know the more comfortable you'll feel.

You should definitely check your bag because you can only have 1, 1quart size ziploc bag with liquids in it and all of the containers inside have to be 3 oz. or less. This also means no bottled water or other drinks can go through security. You can take on board anything you purchase in the terminal once you go through security. You can also take your knitting on board. If you go to the TSA website there's a whole lits, it's just a long link.

Sorry if I overloaded you, I'm the Events Manager for my company so I travel a lot and book travel for everyone else! Feel free to ask any questions you have!

Don't forget the sunscreen!! I'm so excited to meet everyone face to face.

I'll be the one with the 12 oz hairspray since I'm driving! Three cities since 4 am today, I am looking forward to a quite drive by myself with no TSA guys between me and a good time.

You can take metal knitting needles on the plane. I flew to Florida last week and I had maybe 6 sets of dpns and a couple pairs of circular needles. You are allowed to carry on whatever knitting accessories you want as long as you don't have scissors over 2 inches. They did search my whole carry on bag, but the guy that did it kept asking, "ugh, these are fine, why did she flag this bag??"

i've got disney envy.

i did a long weekend disneyworld trip hosted by them years ago, because i was in charge of the amusement park discount tickets for my company. we stayed in some "tree top" style hotel rooms like villas.

if i did that now, i'd have my husband + daughter meet me there.
maybe yours can?

Have a ton of fun in Disney .. as an FYI, in the magic kingdom, stop by City Hall nad tell them it's your first time at Disney - they give you a little pin that says just that and it's a cute keepsake! =)
