oh baby

Ok, I do not intend for this to become a pregnancy blog or all-things-obsessed-with-being-pregnant but you'll find that I get a bit feisty when I've got a bun in the oven and so for now, just deal.

I am first of all, really excited about being preggy for the first time as a blogger. Kinda cool. Except that so far I do not even feel like sitting here at the computer. I'd rather be under the covers in my bed. And that's pretty much where I've been. I am taking each chance that I actually feel well to catch up on housework that's been neglected while I do nothing and try to get my mind off this stomach that is torturing my every waking moment. Poor hubby came out of the shower with an elephant hoody towel yesterday. So laundry is at the top of the list.

I do have a sweet Valentine contest going on over at my Close To Home blog. I think you should check it out. Now, back to my regularly scheduled under-the-covers-programming...

  1. Ha, you're too funny! I think you could write out the dictionary on your blog and people would flock to it and read it up!

  2. Hmmmm...so here's what I'm thinking: Unless you were this sick with the other three boys, is it possible you could be carrying a girl this time? : ) Just speculating...

Hope you get feeling good soon. I was one of the lucky ones who was never sick during my pregnancies, so I feel for you ladies who have gone through that. Try ginger. My mom swears by the stuff.

  4. It will pass (as you well know). I had to get much better at delegating housework this pregnancy. Maybe a cleaning lady just for the 1st trimester?

  9. Take your time and I hope you feel better soon. I was so miserable with baby Grayson. I think I was out of commission for 2 or 3 months. Yucky! I couldn't wait until I could get up and clean the house again! Or even eat... Oh! I'm sorry. Nothing about that. I hope you get rest and lots of love! Congrats again! Oh! and talk about your new baby ALL you want to! We can't wait!

  14. I agree with the first comment - you could write anything, and we'd be right here reading. Write about your pregnancy all you want!

The hoody towel cracked me up. But somehow, I don't think your hubby complained a bit! Hey, at least he had a towel and didn't have to shake off like a dog!

  16. Aack!!! It's been AGES since I was over here, don't know why, except when I switched templates and my links got deleted I kept meaning to come back and didn't for a while...

    ANYWAY!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm pregnant, too, and have been meaning to get over here and search your blog for baby wearing info. I had an old snugli that I used a couple of times with my DD, but I know I'm going to want to get a couple of slings, with a 2 year old in the house. My EDD is 8/21.

I also thought of you when some girls on my birth club board for dd were asking about more info on not vaccinating...

Anyway, congrats, again!!!! I'm so excited for you!

  20. I've decided that since we have to go through the symptoms of being pregnant, our husbands have to deal with us...crazy moods, tired bodies, weird cravings and weirder noses/tummy upsets!

  21. Hey, the kids are never to young to help mommy out around the house. The folding of the laundry may not be the greatest but it will be done.
    Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the advice on the knitting needles. I think i might take the plunge and just get another size. You know, as an 'investment!' !!!!

I will be SURE to post pics once the hat is underway!!!

  28. Hope you feel better soon! My blogging friend Chicky Baby had real bad morning sickness for a while. She is finally getting a little better. For all my pregnancies I have to go on progesterone pills while make me sick... it brings on the morning sickness b/c my body doesn't produce enough progesterone, so the first 12 weeks were tough for me. Although... remember mama girl... you are chasing 3 boys... running a house... a dedicated wife... I'm sure being pregnant on top of ALL of that is making you extra tired too. If you need anything, let me know!!! I was sick with Alexander more than the other 3... and saltine crackers were my saving grace.
    Have a great day... !!!!!
