I really really like cute gift bags. Sometimes I feel that finding the right gift bag is as important as the gift itself.
I also really really like starfruit and fried mushrooms lately. (Not necessarily together.)
While getting my shop on today I found myself thinking about which shoes I would buy. The only fact that one pair were really cute was not enough to make me buy them (as in the past.) I even said out loud "these (in black & white) would get dirty so quickly." So I picked a smarter pair (and I'm a bit melancholy at the fact that smart is a factor for me now) with a casual heel. And it really says 'casual heel' on the box.
Since when did shoes have to make sense? 31 is sinking in.
The smarter pair is way cute, though. Good find!
ReplyDeleteOh girl, it's only just begun...
ReplyDeleteThe black heels are so you. I like them.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the black heels are way cuter and more suited for this weather. Maybe in the summer, the flats would be more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteI actually shop shoe smart too, so it's okay, I get it.
Can't wait to see them on you. And you and JC Penney's...lol. Do you shop anywhere else?!?! LOL
Jen
cute, cute. i just realized... we have the same anniversary, AND your bday is the same day as my husband's! your husband's birthday isn't sept 15, is it (that's mine, hehehe!)?
ReplyDeleteLOL! Well, for what it's worth, I think the smarter pair are VERY cute. I have a similar pair by Steve Madden that I LOVE. :-) Good choice!
ReplyDeleteI WISH my hair looked better when it air-dryed!
ReplyDeleteANd I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the smarter pair. Too cute!
Both are way cute! I'm finding myself doing smarter shopping theses days too...
ReplyDeleteSmart but, still Sassy!!
ReplyDeleteI love both those shoes. glad ur hair looks good air dryed. MINE doesnt. when its longer it does.. but not short.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO lucky that your hair looks good when it air dries. Mine looks like a big fuzzball when I do that. And I'm with you about the gift bags!!
ReplyDeleteI like both those shoes A LOT, but the black heel is probably more versatile. sucks having to make the smart choice, huh? ;P
Oh to be 31 again :)
ReplyDeleteWith hair like mine, if I brush it more than six times I'm doing it out of pure vanity.

On Friday night I was at Target (at closing too, gooo me) and going through the shoes thinking "that one will hurt after 5 minutes...that one will get dirty too fast..." and I left with nada. I couldn't believe I was such a granny about it, but my disbelief didn't prompt a purchase. I thought it was just me...glad to know I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteFirst off- I'm sorry I missed your birthday, but practical still can be cute!! I like the casual heel!
ReplyDeleteI think both pairs are equally cute, but I prefer heels (as long as they're somewhat comfortable) because they are much more flattering to legs and feet.
ReplyDeleteHair that looks better when air dried is definitely a good thing!
ReplyDeleteAs for the shoes...I have to second (or eighth or tenth) the sentiment that the "smart shoes" are adorable. Both pairs are really cute, but I would have gone for the pair you ended up with.
I wish my hair looked better air-dried!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to 31!
ReplyDeleteFortunately, smart shoes can be cute, too!
Gosh, I would have guessed that ballet flats would be considered smarter than the casual heel...I have a hard time wearing any kind of heel if I'm out an about with my 6 month old and 2 year old! It's not age that defines your shoe choices...it's your kids!
