Fish Food

If only I could describe my horror when Gray came up to me giggling "Hee hee fish food, Mama."

I ran to the kitchen and found the fish bowl topped with a thick layer of red beta pellets. The entire container of fish food empty. Our little swimming pet Luna is ok. Traumatized maybe, but happy now in a clean and clear environment again. She may have to be moved to the top of the fridge if I am going to keep her safe from the two year old monkey-child living in my house. Help.

  1. We had the same thing happen in our house. I couldn't believe the fish was actually o.k. It's amazing how strong those fish are! :)

  2. Its gotta be a two year old with fish thing. When Starlet was two I caught her dunking a tempeh "bacon" strip in our tank, trying to feed our beta.

  7. WE keep our fishy up on the top shelf of the bookcase - he's safe and still visible there.

  9. I had a beta and my daughter decided the bowl needed to be cleaned. . .so she put a few squirts of antibacterial soap in his water. Needless to say he didn't make it and we haven't gotten another.

  10. in my fish tank... flakes... of pencil sharpened shavings... I guess they resemble fish food... everyone is still alive, but we watch the 2 year old much more when in the tank area.
