This Mountain Called 2007

When I close my eyes and really think about it, I am coming down the mountain. And it feels really good.

I was looking through all the photos I've taken this year and there are so many wonderful memories. One of my favorites is this one of my Aunt Susie & me (with Gray on my back) from our family trip to Colorado.

There seemed to be a lot of extra baggage weighing me down in one way or the other, internal struggles, and just life's goings on weaving in and out that made this year seem extra busy and bumpy.

But in the end, on the descent, I feel molded and trained. As I come down I pass the rocks I stumbled upon on the way up and they really aren't as big as I remember. As much as I am glad for it to end, it was a pretty good year. But now I've been there, done that, and am so ready for 2008.

  3. This pretty much describes my year, too, Steph. 2007 almost wore me out, emotionally, so like you, I'm looking forward to 2008.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

  5. Good for you. So many people are either depressed over the past or scared of the future. It's brand new experiences we're adding to our journey.
