I know, I know, do not adjust your screen or rub your eyes. I just thought this "mess up" shot was actually quite lovely.-Steph
i hope to put ours up next weekend... it's that time, isn't it? happy ww!
I actually thought you took it that way on purpose - it really is pretty! We still need to get our tree up - soon hopefully. Happy WW! :)
what a great shot! I love it. Just glowing! We have ours up too.Happy WW
Haha, I was about to hit refresh ;-) Happy WW :P
The only good thing about being near-sighted is taking off my glasses and seeing Christmas trees and lights like that. I think it's beautiful.
what a beautiful tree--puts me in the Christmas spirit!!
we're putting ours up this weekend!that is just a wonderful shot.happy ww
I really like that mess up shot!
hooray! you got lights! :)
Decidedly lovely. Very artsy.
I think the blur makes it very artsy. Beautiful pix! Happy WW!
My MIL squints to make sure there are no gaps in the light--your pic does it for her!
I think ours will be going up on Saturday! We have a christmas concert to go to (Point of Grace)to ring in the holiday spirit on friday so I may just break out all the fun stuff the next day!
Ha - the white strands went back! :) Now sleep peacefully that it's done!Lori
Cool shot. Ours is going up tonight I think.
I haven't put our tree up yet, which is NOT like me. I'm normally a day after Thanksgiving sorta gal, but this year I worked that day, and well, all the days just keep coming too fast. Tonight. Tonight I will make Monte get my tree out of the attic and it's going up tomorrow. Think there's any chance Carter will keep his hands off it?! Yeah, I don't think so either.
Very cool picture!! I love it!
If a "mess up" shot turns out lovely then it is no longer a "mess up" shot but is a fortunate happenstance. You could say you planned it that way. I fact I thought you had a great technique to capture the effect of the tree rather than the actual tree. Try putting on lots of Christmas Carols (the old fashioned kind) and bake Christmas cookies (the unhealthy kind) to get in the Christmas mood. Make sugar cookies and let the boys decorate with colored sugars or "paint" them with evaporated milk. Terry used to love to do that. Messy? Yes! Memorable? Yes!
Merry Christmas! Love the shot!
You're right -- mess up shots can be strokes of good luck
it's that time huh? I think our is going up Friday. Thankfully we have the prelit variety!
That's wonderful - happy WW!
LOL - had to take my glasses off and clean them, but nope, still blurry. hhahahaJust kidding - it's pretty and makes me want to hurry up and get mine up. Trying to finish another project first. :)I played over on My Meandering Mind:http://writingmom.bravejournal.com/entry/29130
I constantly embrace the blur, and I think yours is lovely.
Reminds me of looking at our Christmas tree late at night with my eyes crossed...fun!
I'm still trying to find time to drag mine out of the carport! If it's not up before the first it seems I no sooner get it decorated than I have to take it down again!
Your comment is gonna totally make my day!
