Can Cakes
I made pancakes (Gray loudly calls them CAN CAKES!) for three very grateful little boys this morning. Carter finished his fourth one and patted his tummy, still in his pjs, and said "These were the best pancakes I've ever ate."
Life of the Day, Day 22
So sweet! We had "pant cakes" at my house this morning!
ReplyDeleteI have extra time for some postings before church because I forgot to "fall back".
ReplyDeletePancakes have always been a treat around here. I usually try to make extra and freeze them (lay them in the freezer on wax paper until they freeze, then store them airtight) so I only have to nuke them for another day when I'm too busy. Almost like homemade, better than store-bought.
We had french toast sticks, someone else had prepared, still a family breakfast. Glad your boys enjoyed your cancakes, even if they didn't come from a can!! What an amazing mom you are!!
ReplyDeleteIn our house, they're "fwuffy pwancakes" and Daddy always makes them! Yesterday was the day, and they were Yummy as always.
ReplyDeleteVery cute...kind of like when Madison was 4 she saw a Barbie Jeep and said to us..I have always wanted this for my entire life.....we still laugh over this one.
ReplyDeleteGood minds think alike. I made pancakes too with chocolate chips (a very special treat).

ReplyDeleteOurs are "can cakes" too. But I've never gotten an adorable comment like that before! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteCan you be my mama? They sound yummy.
ReplyDeleteawww yum! Makes me really really want waffles...I'm trying not to give in..hmmm
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to know we're appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI adore how kiddos pronounce things! For Sophia, ice cream was eee poo. I have no clue where that came from either.
ReplyDeleteAh, Leah loves her "can cakes" too! lol. And her E-gut, her word for yogurt!
