For my friend Carrington's new baby I knitted one of my most favorite baby sweaters yet- chocolate brown with pearl buttons (her baby's middle name is Pearl!) I started this sweater on Wednesday and was so relieved to finish it in time for her shower today. I am just a little bummed that the photo isn't as good as I'd like, but maybe I can update it when there is a little baby Capri wearing it!

Well, it's scarfy time (we had snow again today!) and I would like to give away one of my Cactus scarves. Just leave comment here if you'd like to win! I'll choose a winner Friday Nov 30, the last day of NaBloPoMo!
Bonus points for the first commenter to guess which movie this post's title came from...
Oh, and also to those that send a vote my way (We're the Precourt family...) : )
This giveaway has ended and the winner is Beck from Frog And Toad Are Still Friends! If you know Beck, you know it's cold where she is and this scarf will be well-needed! So excited that she's the winner!

I LOVE THAT SCARF!!! Totally my fave color. Unfortunately I just can't find the time to ever make something like that- although I know if I tried it'd end up looking more like a poo scarf than a cute cactus one! :)
ReplyDeleteCount me in!
I am trying to knit my first scarf right now. It is not going as well as I had hoped. I would love to win a cute one like that!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I have always wanted to learn to knit but never have tried. Maybe it's time!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love the color of the scarf! And the fuzzy factor! The sweater is the cutest thing ever. I love the chocolate color on a girl. Don't know why kids have to wear pastels all the time.
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl!
I still can't read your blog very well. There is no white background, just the pretty blue pattern. But I did gather there is a giveaway for that gorgeous scarf. I want in! :-)

Only 30 days in November...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win your scarf. That's my favorite color, much to my pink princess's horror. I made it through about 5 inches of a scarf while I was pregnant with her, but that's the extent of my knitting.
Count me in! I would love to sport your handmade scarf!
ReplyDeleteI love this scarf...I wish I had the patience!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute sweater...and a very flattering photo of you (such long eyelashes!).

I too love knitting, although am not that talented at it yet. Your creations are gorgeous. As for the movie quote, reality TV is the only thing I have time for these days...
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented. I am impressed!
ReplyDeletei learned to knit years ago and of course never had time after my crazy 2 y.o. was born (and with another on the way i doubt i'll ever get a chance to re-learn the process!)
ReplyDeletethanks!
Jumping in just under the gun so please please please enter me for that gorgeous scarf!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What talent you have!! I LOVE that sweater!!! I am thinking that I may have to try and convince my hubby to relocate down to the Windy City area just so I can take up a few lessons with you. I tried knitting and crocheting a few times and failed miserably. Perhaps it was because I couldn't keep focused ?
