Growing up, my brother and I dressed up for Halloween and went trick-or-treating.At present time, we don't go trick-or-treating with our boys and are still not sure how we want to approach the celebrating or not of Halloween. Ah, but I'll save that for another post!
In the meantime, enjoy these pictures of me at about 3 & 4 years old dressing up as a really cute witch? (What was I, Mom?)

And Strawberry Shortcake. I found this before & after pic. Weren't we too cute? I don't think they make costumes with tiny eye slits like that anymore- isn't it, like, a hazard? I have no idea what my brother was dressing up as here either! Was he a Shirttail? Mom?

ReplyDeleteI love that Strawberry Shortcake costume!! Your brother looks a little wary of it! Happy TT!

At first I thought your brother was sitting next to a doll -- not you! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think the plastic masks are a no-no now.
Lori
I thought it was a doll next to him, too, until I clicked on it! lol
ReplyDeleteWasn't there some kind of Rainbow character? Could that've been it?
I was Strawberry Shortcake one year too. :o) I asked my mom this morning to dig out some 'costume' pictures for me for next week. Happy TT!!!
ReplyDeleteRainbow Brite, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWE do Halloween with our munchkins, but cautiously - no scary or occult costumes. But whatever works for your family, right?
How cute you both were. At first I didn't know you had on a mask I thought how did you get yourself to look like that.
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing so hard, I'm crying right now. Blonde I know.
funny pictures :)
ReplyDeleteOk...Amy is dying with laughter at her desk...thinking that you didn't have on a mask, trying to figure it out...(We are really busy working today).
ReplyDeleteI am thinking, what was I thinking, putting that witch costume on you? I must have made that in my sleep...but you were so cute...I think Nate was Ernie from Sesame Street...he never did like to wear the masks...I was trying to think of where I stored that ceramic pumpkin sitting on the table. I painted that in ceramic class...it even had a light inside that you plug in...
Wonderful costumes!!!! I just love Halloween :)
ReplyDeleteI think its important we discuss the couch in the background...
ReplyDeletehaha...too cute! And I love the strawberry shortcake costume!!!
ReplyDeleteI had the same strawberry shortcake costume.
ReplyDeletethe days of plastic masks...
Oh, I read your mom's comment and your bro does look like he's dressed like Ernie! How cute! I was a witch too, and once I was a half boy/ half girl!!! How weird!
ReplyDeleteI had the same strawberry shortcake halloween outfit. And the next year, I had a plastic wonder woman one! I missed those days......I think every child of our generation had the plastic outfits.
ReplyDeletecute! i love the footed pjs (i think that's what they are) under your witch costume. :)

ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures! You were a very cute witch.
ReplyDeleteLove the costumes! I used to love Strawberry Shortcake. I had to be a clown for probably 5 years in a row when I was little, and I'm scared of clowns! How messed up is that?

I just love the old pics :-) We always went growy up too, and I'm pretty sure I dressed up like in a "witchy-poo" costume once. Too funny. Sorry I haven't been around much in blog world...my life sometimes just takes over.

Too funny! I have an old photo I've been wanting to post too. I was Minnie Mouse, which is what Emma is going to be this year.

I remember all too well those masks with the slits, hilarious! How did we ever survive childhood?!?!
