The morning after my weekly "knitting night" at Panera, Carter recited this poem to me. I promise you that I instantly rushed up to ask Jeff if Gray really fell on his head. He didn't. It was the only thing they could come up with to rhyme with bed.
I have to put "knitting night" in quotations because it's really just a cover. I mean, occasionally we will dig out our yarn and needles and actually KNIT something, but sometimes we end up just talking and venting and it becomes a wonderful therapy session, plus bread.
I am regretting now, though, that I didn't get a little knitting done because I've needed a gift for a close friend that is moving away and we're having a dinner for her tonight. I just haven't found the perfect present that seems to feel right. So I've decided to knit her a handbag. By tonight. I better get to it...
Steph, that was too fun. My son enjoyed watching it, too. Your sons are so adorable :)

I really need to learn how to knit! Your son such a little doll face. Oh, and I thought it was so funny you noticed the Pedipeds. I told my whole family what you said about them. They were all doubting the practicality of camo shoes. ;)
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! And way to memorize, too!
ReplyDeleteCute! what a great Dad to help him do this and record for Mama.
ReplyDeleteawe... hes sounds so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love knitted things... why dont I knit... I should. I know how... to much to do to little time!
I think this week was a bit more heavy on the therapy than the knitting, but we can make up for it next time. :) I have promised things too, so I can't slack off next time. Need to get better at doing both at the same time!

I hope you and Arianne know just how much I needed that night. I came home a different person then when I left. Promise not to be so hopeless next time!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest thing ever! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with how much expression he was able to put into his reciting the poem. He must have inherited your acting talent.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute poem to come home to. Our ladies nights are big gab sessions, we intend to play games, but we take a long time to get started on them, lol.
ReplyDeletePlease burn that video onto a disc and bury it in the yard somewhere so it can NEVER. BE. DELETED.
