Noah is being placed in a special reading program to help him along and keep a closer "eye" on his eye. Tonight he said, but Mommy, what if I can't do it?
You can do it.
But what if I get it wrong?
Everyone gets things wrong lots of times. It's ok.
But what if I can't figure it out even the second, third, and fourth time?
You just keep trying until you do.

ReplyDeleteRight now we are on a program for Math too. Missy is reading beyond her years, but adding/subraction aren't going so well. We've been having the YOU CAN DO IT talks too......Good luck to Noah!

all one can ever do is try try and try again
and they do say practise makes perfect
You can tell Noah that I was in a special reading program when I was his age and now I can read and write :)

You are a good mama and Noah is a good guy!!! You will make it through this with bells on. I have just emailed my daughter's 3rd grade teacher with how to help her!! She does get help every year and it does encourage her and not bring her down, go mamma go!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteDefinitely great to keep encouraging him! :) It is so crazy to see the fear of failure at such an early age, but it makes sense. We just want to do well in all that we do.
