I prefer the "before pic" here, but it doesn't show off my Dr. Martens. You can click on the photos to enlarge... if you must.

As for the group friends shot... can you tell who was a bit of a dramatic starlet that night? Ah... anyway. Swallowing all embarrassment for good blog fodder. Let's see you post a prom pic, 'kay?

I will point out that this was a simple slip dress I found for $19 at Merry Go Round and I designed the rest. The red boots and hair were still excellent accessories, in my opinion...
*P.S. I have to add that I don't regret any of my fashion choices here. But, it's still kinda weird for me to flashback to a majorly awkward time!!
*P.P.S. If you want to see a really cute pic of me in a less awkward time, check out my Mom's Throwback pic today.
Have fun with more Throwback Thursdays at Pinks & Blues!
I think you look great! It was still the grunge stage right?!?!
ReplyDeleteFinally the Dr. Martins you've talked so much about!!!
ReplyDeleteLori
omg LOL Ok, the dress is very chic... the boots... not so much LOL

ReplyDeleteOh AWESOME! We had a handfull that wanted to wear our doc's for graduation but they said no way. pft. What's up with public schools stifling personal dress choices??
ReplyDeleteI think you look fab! Does vintage punk sound right?
Whew, I so did NOT see that coming, lol! There is a contest right now where you have to say what you wish you had NOT worn, you should enter, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh that's awesome! :)
ReplyDeletehey, you were 17-18, right? we were all super dramatic at that age! especially the ones prone to wearing doc martens to prom! lol
ReplyDeleteI remember that picture! I thought it was too fun that you did your own thing! And nice flashback to see a picture with Kaimi, Sara, and Jamie! But I don't remember the person to the left of Kaimi or the person to the right of Jamie...
ReplyDelete(and if you're wondering how I found your blog, I'm Jen's step-sister!)
Oh, you were too cute! I never did the Dr. Marten thing, but most of my friends did!

You were so pretty like always!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph! I remember the names but not the faces. And I am so new to this blogging thing. As soon as I can figure out how to but a permenant link on my page, I'll link you up to help "advertise" your site.
ReplyDeleteLook at those dark red fingernails that match the cordovan boots. I wish I had somewhere to go that required me to so deliberately plan an outfit these days. For the record, I think your look is super fun!
ReplyDeleteHow funny Steph, I told your mom it looks like you went in a very sexy nightgown. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou did look beautiful that day, even though I didn't understand your style. We made it thru...and look at you today...still a beautiful women...I am glad you buried the brown cords...
