yeah robin, i agree...when i watched that, i got goosebumps...it was really scary...it made me think of my drive on 80/94 to munster 3 days a week, and how other people thinking irrationally could possibly harm myself and jonah...i'm gonna be extra cautious from now on.
Wow, I have been in a bubble this weekend...I missed that story. The verse I have been thinking about A LOT lately is "Be still and know that I am God" That requires a bit of a slowdown...Great post...sad but thoughtful!
I've always said that there isn't ANYWHERE or ANYTHING worth dying over. It can wait. If you miss it, so be it. You will get a chance to do something else. NOTHING is important enough to die over. Not a job. Not an outing. Not someone waiting for you. Such a tragedy... I feel for the whole community. Hope the children that survived recover physically, so that they can begin to recover emotionally. My heart to the father... and prayers for the mother that she can live with her horrible decision...
At church our pastor came back from a mini sabatical with a few points to make and one was very clear: SLOW DOWN AND TRUST GOD
ReplyDeleteYour post seemed on those same lines. Thanks for the affirmation.
Lori :)
What a tragic story! How terrible! But thank you for the reminder to stop and smell the roses.
ReplyDeleteI know, I've been thinking about that accident a lot, too. So sad and so preventable. Life is but a vapor...
