I snuck upstairs, curled up on my new huge soft bed with my knitting, and watched Miss Potter- which I loved! Hubby kept the boys downstairs the whole time- he told them I went on vacation to Mexico. When I finally came down they said, "We missed you! How was your vacation!?"
I didn't have a tan to show for it, but I did feel quite refreshed. And it was good to be back.
oh i watched that movie all by myself too! (my husband wasn't into it.) but i liked it a lot.
ReplyDeleteglad you had a good vacation. :) its VERY necessary, i will agree!

ReplyDeleteAhhhh, nice! I'm sure it's very refreshing and refueled your mommy tank nicely.
ReplyDeleteIf only my vacations in the home were nice. ;) My oldest insists on crying the whole time I'm in another room...needless to say I have to leave the home right now to enjoy a vacation. lol

Good for you! It's amazing what a little "me" time can do for your soul. And kudos to your man for being so great about it. Maybe he's even great enough to plan a real Mexico getaway in the near future?!!!!???? :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so great! We all need a little "me" time no matter how we get it!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteGO YOU! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThats so great your hubby did that for you. We are all in need of a small vacation, even if it includes not leaving your house:-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant idea! Love how he told your boys you went to Mexico, LOL! I will have to steal this idea.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! We all need a little "me" time. I got my first "me" time (in a long while) yesterday when my son was on his first day of Kindy and couldn't figure out what to do with all the quietness. I need help!
ReplyDeleteLOL - next time you go to Mexico take me with you!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! I don't know whats wrong w/ my DH (he's young) but he won't take both of the kids off my hands....ever. Every other week he will take one of them for an hour or two to Target, or McDonalds. Thats it.
ReplyDeleteBesides I dont' have an upstairs...and if I got to sleep my kids will eat me. :-O
That's hysterical! I loved that movie! I took a 2 day vacation to read the latest HP book. I was home with my girls, whe didn't go anywhere, and I just read and read. I told my 7yo she was mommy and she had to make all the meals and do everything for my younger one, who's 3. I don't know what they did all day. Um, too much TV. :( But mostly they played and laughed and if they came in, I said, again, that I was on vacation. I have never done this before and probably won't more than once a year or so but it was great!
