My journey began by attending a La Leche League meeting, and there I learned about a Natural Parenting group full of babywearers in my area. That's also how I met Ashlee! My circle of babywearing friends is growing, and it's so much fun. We can offer support and try out each other's baby carriers, too!
To find babywearers near you, try checking out your local LLL, Mothering.com's forums, and the Babywearer.com's forums has a "Babywearers Near You" section! Be seen wearing your baby and I'm sure you'll meet other babywearing Moms. Or you'll at least get some new recruits!
And next year the official Babywearing Conference is in Chicago! I'll be there!
This summer, these fine babywearing Mamas meet for Tuesdays at the park. I love Tuesdays!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to meet with babywearing moms regularly! Maybe my baby wearing bud Good Idea Momma and I will start a similar group in our area. I feel like you just hit me on the head with something that should have been so obvious. :)

Thanks soo much for telling me about the conference, I forgot about it! :) I just went to the site, and I think I am gonna donate a carrier, I REALLY want to go - but not sure how it's so expensive and with Zachary not going to bed on his OWN LOL even now, nor sleeping though the night - I doubt I could leave him :(
