And Gray, well, the last three nights he has gone to bed with a glove on one hand. The night before, it was a camouflage fleece mitten. Last night was a red stretchy glove. Just on one hand. Okaaaay.
We're off to the park now (Tuesdays are park days around here) where Carter will no doubt charm all the moms with his sweet smiles and fascinating stories.

Ok- back from the park and oh yes did Carter do some charming... here he is with his new "lady" Allison!
they all do and that is hysterical!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMine wants a hat on her bedpost every night.
ReplyDeleteI've convinced her that she can't sleep in a costume. And no hats or boots at the table.
But such cute quirks! My daughter has a secret stash of the pompoms she has ripped off her bedspread. I found them in the corner under her bed the other day. :-)
ReplyDeleteFunny. Now that my kids are older, they find my not-so-secret stash of dark chocolate and Caribou Coffee bars. We all have our quirks, and our stash of 'secret' goodies!
ReplyDeleteOne of my kids would take the shampoos and the wet naps from where ever we would go. When I found the big stash I asked, why do you have this? He said they give them away and what if I ever need it. Yes, he has a problem with germs - maybe he thought we would run out at home and he would have a back up. The older he gets the better he gets. Kids are funny!!!
ReplyDeleteMy 4 and 5 year-olds stole a brand new store bought CARROT CAKE and ate the frosting off it and hid it under my son's bed.
ReplyDeleteI thought I must had forgotten the cake at the store since I couldn't find it for desert, a few days later I found the remainings of it under the bed, what a mess!

I have a friend who's little boy wears socks on his arms to church, they're his gloves, he says. LOL. Hey, maybe next Tuesday we can come to the park and have a play date with you guys!!! email me!!
ReplyDeleteNever, ever try to figure them out. It's an effort in futility.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Kids are so fun! :) If your patient and willing to revel in there quirks - that is! :) Somedays, frankly it can be TO much LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you had a GREAT time at the park!
I love these kind of stories. So funny! It's so nice to have them down on "paper" so you can remember years down the road! :)
ReplyDeleteThey make life so fun. Life would be quite dull without our kids and their funny quirks!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! They all have their different little "things"... I guess Gray is way too young to have remembered Michael Jackson when he was normal, but that's who I was thinking about with the one glove thing! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat little cuties you have!
Jane, P&B Girls
Are you sure Gray hasn't been watching Michael Jackson?
ReplyDeleteKids are hilarious, aren't they?
OK, I swear I didn't read the comment above mine before I posted about the MJ thing....so much for originality!
ReplyDeleteMy second oldest son went through the glove phase too. I decided he was channeling the OLD Michael Jackson. LOL! He finally grew out of it, but he still has his oddities!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Cute quirks. I remember my older brother used to hide his candy in a bottle under his bed so he could show off later that he still had his candy. Me, on the other end, would gobble up the sweets being the greedy sweet tooth that I was. Crazy thing is my bro would forget about the candy and I found out where he was hiding it and would sneak some out. haha
ReplyDeleteCarter is chaming more than just the moms at the park ;) Allison just informed me that she is "A lady!" That is what her friend Carter told her!
ReplyDeleteThe park was fun -- thanks for the invite!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww....I wish I could have seen pictures! I bet that was priceless!!
ReplyDeleteThose little quirks always keep me smiling....just love it!
ReplyDeleteLook at them..too cute. A ladies man.
ReplyDeleteLittle kids are just so hilariously weird. The whole process of figuring out identity is neat, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteSteph,
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! What a sweetie!
You're going to have to watch that one. LOL How cute is that?! Holding hands like little boyfriend and girlfriend. hehe
ReplyDeleteLOL at the glove thing. reminded me of michael jackson. hehe.
ReplyDeleteand what a ladies' man! :)
Well, he has great taste! What a cutie she is!!!
ReplyDeleteSo funny! At least Noah is planning to share his stash, not just hoarding it. And the glove thing - hilarious!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! What a little charmer! It's so fun to watch kids develop their little personalities!
ReplyDeleteOMG! That is so cute about Noah. William used to keep a stash of binkies under his crib mattress... my husband and I couldn't figure out where they kept coming from!
ReplyDeleteLove the one of Carter... my Alex is just like that too. Mr. Charmer!

What a cute couple!
ReplyDeleteShe IS the little princess of the bunch. Being the only girl and all. Now I know why he didn't talk to me today. He was too busy with his "lady friend".
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a good excuse for my secret stash of tootsie rolls.
ReplyDeleteCarter is the sweetest thing I've ever met so it only makes sense! He and Allison were way too cute holding hands... you better watch out, he's a heart breaker!
ReplyDeleteI caught them holding hands one time. TOO FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...I am taking a break from the sandy white beaches of Sandestin Florida to check my mail and this is cracking me up....I am paying $5.00 per 10 min., but this is worth every penny...the glove...and Carter's little (girlfriend)...Miss everyone...see you in a few days..
ReplyDeleteI love the pic! Both of my boys love the one handed glove look. I have to hide the pairs of gloves that I have because eventually, there is always one lonely glove left behind. I attribute this look to them having a mom that loves 80s music.
