Ankle Biter

So you all know by now that we are always trying in little & big ways to live more green. I have really enjoyed the daily tips from Ideal Bite. They are perfect if you are just starting out and are an ankle biter like me, or even if you are the well-seasoned tree hugger.

Click here or on the button above, or the one in my sidebar to sign up for the daily tips. Enter your first name & email address- really easy, quick sign up! After you sign up, you can tell your friends and be entered to win fab eco-prizes! You can check out the Biter Gear like Gray's 100% organic super-soft onesie and Biter Bottles (I really want one of those!)

The latest in green at our house is that we've offically switched over to cloth napkins! I really like Ideal Bite's
tip on "going cloth." And I must brag a little about how we really got the jump on going green with cloth. The other day a HUGE box of green cloth napkins (38 cloth napkins- I am not kidding) arrived from Jess (O Mama Mia). Included was a sweet note on helping me go green with some new green napkins. I have to say I am so blessed with wonderful blog friends. I am
totally knitting her little Starlet a sweater!

And I have already added to my collection... aren't these napkins just HAPPY? Got 'em off ebay... they just make me smile! Don't ya just want to come over and have lunch with me and my happy napkins?

  3. To me using cloth napkins are like wiping your face on clothes. Kinda icky. We consume too many paper towels so I just may give cloth napkins a shot. I'd also like to work on not using disposable plates. Glass ware's just to bulky for me so if I'm not using disposable I'm using plastic. I even drink out of sippy cups! I so not an adult.

I have started taking baby steps to going green, and I really am happy with the changes. So it's fun to see others having fun with it, too! :)

  9. I love your cloth napkins!! We bought some when we first were married and I LOVED using them. Since having kids we have put them away. I have wanted to buy some darker napkins for the kids to use, so stains would be hidden. I like happy, cute napkins!! I would expect nothing less from you!

  10. Love the cloth napkins! When we first started using them I felt indulgent, like we were at a fancy restaurant. But they save $ and the environment too.
You got some cute prints there. I'm going to have to check ebay out. We only have 4 at the moment.

  12. We've started with cloth, but we only have 12 so I will need to get some more sometime. It's just not something I think about while out shopping! But I do like it better than buying and wasting paper!

  17. Count me in with those who are slowly converting to the organic and green side. I'll check out that site you mentioned.

We use too many paper towels as well, but mostly for cleaning and not wiping our hands or mouths.

Doesn't mean we couldn't use cloths to clean, though.
