It was about this very same time in June 1998 when I visited Northern France and Paris. You could say it was an enlightening time for me- mainly vacationing by myself with a group- but ultimately being alone in another country.
I love this photo- it was so sunny there but the darkest, black clouds hung above that Chateau, which we did visit!
Have fun with Throwback Thursdays at the Pinks & Blues blog...

These are AWESOME, Steph!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange how 10 years ago seems so far away and yet so recent at the same time?
I can just see the excitement in your face in these shots... you were clearly having an amazing time!
I want to go to Pair-eee!

I would love to go to Paris! Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow, I think I need to hear your engagement story. It sounds like it could be interesting! A year later you were married??? WOW!
ReplyDeleteParis twice! that's wonderful. I really liked your hair that color too!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to go someday!
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos! You looked very Parisian in the black and white!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so different! How fun! Paris was a great city to visit.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree w/ the other poster-you should share your engagement story!
Your throw-backs are so much fun to read. I would LOVE to visit Paris someday. : )
ReplyDeleteI want to go!!! That first picture looks like you on the front of a postcard...what an awesome photo. I would love to visit Paris someday. Thanks for always sharing great Throwbacks...I enjoy reading them!
ReplyDeleteMel
I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeleteOh these bring back great memories! I've also traveled to France a few times. The castles are so amazing aren't they? Beautiful photos - you look very happy there!
ReplyDeleteYou look thrilled in each picture. You are truly one for adventure!
ReplyDeleteI know people have commented on it before, and I never noticed it seeing you in person, but in all your pics both old and new, you really do look like Kelly Clarkson!
ReplyDeleteIs that you under blonde highlights??? :) HA!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous opportunity! And you did it TWICE!!
Do Dad's wear baby's? And how do you wear twins? 3 year old twins? Thanks Steph!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, and then to go back that's great.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed visiting France too, really it's a lovely country. It's the people that are not always so nice. Particularly if you don't speak French, which I don't. They are serious about their language!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you look adorable in short blonde hair!
castles??? help i am confused....I suppose you are talking about the Notre Dame, the gothic Paris cathedral in your first picture?
ReplyDeleteNext time, you should hop over to Belgium too and I'll show you some more castles, fortresses and cathedrals if you want! :)
Regarding your comment, I visited Northern France as well as Paris. We did visit Notre Dame but that's not the one in the pic! I forgot the name!
ReplyDeleteSteph
yeah, I now realise that well :p. I think the Notre Dame has flat towers and this one has peaks. I have no clue which one it is. Hmm, I am definately not an expert on Paris.
ReplyDeleteBut the invitation to Belgium remains standing though, I like to show people around.
