Here's me & my best friend Jenny at a slumber party- age 7?And us later on- still best friends in high school- backstage in a community production of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
(Notice I am not including any middle-school pics. That is for the best for all of us.)

And prom- can't forget prom '95...

Here's a fun one of us visiting in Chicago summer '03.

One of my very favorite photos of us at her wedding in '04.
I love you, Jen!
Here's my other Throwback Thursday.

I am sitting here sobbing cause these pictures bring back such wonderful memories. I can remember you and Jenny meeting on the school playground for Kindergarten sign up and to see that you are still best friends is amazing. Noah looks like you in the first picture. You are both beauties! But of course, I'm your mom, so what else can I say? Love you too Jenny!
ReplyDeleteYay! I have been waiting for this blog.. you told me you were doing it. You know I love ya Stephanie! I am so proud to call you my friend. You have always been like a sister to me. Thanks for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos, Steph!! I love friendships that last throughout the years! No one knows you like your friends from childhood. These photos brought a smile to my face! What a beautiful friendship!
ReplyDeleteJane, Pinks & Blues Girls
You both look so pretty, that is great to still be friends after all these years. Girlfriends are the best.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. I remember Jenny from middle school. She's beautiful. I loved all the pictures.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to share a lifetime of memories with your best friend!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! That 1st picture is especially cute. I so need a scanner so I can copy old pics. from childhood. What a good idea for weekly posting!
ReplyDeleteOk, girl, where are the DR. MARTENS????
ReplyDeleteThey are under her prom dress, trust me! She got a bargain price on her dress so she could get her Dr. Martens...we let her be her own person and I am so glad we did, cause look at the beautiful women she became! Love her!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great set of pics. You guys are so lucky to have a friendship that has lasted so long.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I played.

ReplyDeleteIjust love the pinks and blues girls for starting this weekly meme! I can't wait until I am unpacked and can get to all my throw back pics!!! These are great! I think I only have one friend from when I was small, and she lives in Michigan, so I never see her!
ReplyDeleteAw, look at you together for so long. What a great friendship!
ReplyDeleteThat is sooo awesome. I wish I could have kept in better touch with childhood friends through the years. You both look so beautiful at her wedding.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. I need to pull out all the old photos but I also need a scanner so I can scan in all my old pictures!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you two had tons of fun growing up! And even now :)
ReplyDeleteI have to laugh...I just had my third baby and He is such a cuddle bug!!! I sling him to me all day long and that is how I get him to sleep!! that is also how I get anything done!!!
ReplyDeleteTrust me, I've got the Dr. Marten's photo and I will scan and send to Steph and she can decide whether or not to post it! :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun, what great pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteFun pics. I love my close girly friends. And what a fabulous long and connected friendship!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome and rare that you have stayed so close with your childhood best friend!
ReplyDeleteI have lost touch with almost all of mine. I had my 1st child young, at an age when most are still partying and just graduating high school, but i wouldn't have changed it for the world!
How awesome to have such a good friend for so long. I also love how it looks like you are always on the left in the photo and she is on the right. Kind of funny that you never swapped sides when taking a pic together.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings.
I meant to say you were on the right - oops. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome blessing to have a life-long friendship. I envy that!
ReplyDeleteI love tributes like this one. I have a dear friend like this too. Just talked to her the other day,
ReplyDeleteI just remembered this post and wanted to comment on it again. Remember how you said it was hard to let them go? Look at how young we were in the top picture, and I'm sure we had sleepovers at that young age-same age as Noah! But I'm sure it is still hard to let them go and be independent, etc.
