I'm Laughing With You
Last night I stopped and totally laughed at myself as I was cleaning up after dinner. I get almost giddy when I am putting away leftovers and find a lid that actually fits the storage container. I did a happy dance. Over Tupperware.
And being able to laugh at myself makes me happy. I am the biggest dork and I know it. Like this story. So glad I didn't crawl under a rock and die like I wished at the time... No matter how embarrassing, I will laugh about that forever.
You are of course the most optimistic and sunny person I know... It's hard enough to find A lid sometimes let alone one that fits, definitely something to do a happy dance over! ;)
ReplyDeletehihi, that movie theatre storie made me laugh out loud behind my desk and now I had to explain to my colleagues. Thanks a lot ;).
ReplyDeleteI have thrown away so many tupperware containers because I have lost the lid. It's gladware for me. That way if I loose a piece, it's no big deal.
ReplyDeleteIt's so healthy to be able to laugh at yourself. I know I have to stop and force myself to laugh instead of cry sometimes.
I always find it sad when people don't know how to laugh at themselves. I would have been laughing right with you at your happy dance!! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my Tupperware too, by the way! :)

Ah, it's the little things . . .
ReplyDeleteOk, I had to read the story you linked to and I am so glad I did! I think that is hilarious!!! Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteI agree - a lid matching is worthy of a dance. :)
You and I could always laugh over the silliest things...I can think of tons of times just like that movie theatre experience where we just cracked up for HOURS! Matt thinks I'm a dork for all the crap that makes me laugh sometimes. Whatever, I wouldn't trade the sense of humor for anything!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what makes us moms excited!!! Your not a dork, just full of life and that's a great thing to be.
ReplyDeleteFYI In case you didn't already know it - today is Stay-at-Home Moms Day. So happy SAHM Day!
ReplyDeleteI have FIFTY TRILLION tupperware containors.
ReplyDeleteI have FIFTY TRILLION tupperware lids.
You would think that I would have AT LEAST ONE MATCHING SET!
Isn't laughing at ourselves a MUST to get us thru a long day w. kids???? :)
ReplyDeleteThat theater story sound sooo like something I'd do. LOL
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to thank you for your sweet comments on all my neverending wedding posts and let you know your name is in the favor giveaway hat. :-)
PS - I totally understand about the lids. In my case it's the Glad or Ziplock lids. I'm so over Tupperware! LOL
Your such a nerd! lol
ReplyDeleteI give up on tupperware too...I recycle the plastic containers the frozen meals come in. I am always sending left overs with the family when they come for dinners and these work out great..
ReplyDeleteSteph takes her clutzyness from me....I walked out of one of my sandals walking across the street to go to a store last week...I stopped traffic cause I had to go back to put my foot back in the shoe....
I'm just laughing trying to picture you doing the jig over Tupperware.
ReplyDelete:)

I totally understand doing the happy dance for finding a matching lid! Matching lids NEVER happen in our house!! LOL.
ReplyDeleteDon't ever be embarrassed about being happy! How much more fun is that than dwelling on the negatives in life? I'm sure your kids feel it, too. Yay, you!!!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at my self too, when I got all excited that the take out boxes from a local restaurant were sturdy enough to save and re-use. Life wouldn't be the same without the little things, and of course a sense of humor to go along with it!
ReplyDeleteI just read the theater story...made me laugh out loud picturing it! However, unless you've actually farted in front of cute guys, I corner the market on that embarrassing category.
ReplyDeleteOh good, I'm not alone LOL SO glad to hear that life makes you smile :)
ReplyDeleteThe small things in life, right?
ReplyDeleteMy husband calls me a dork all the time for how much i laugh at myself.
ReplyDeleteI laugh at myself for everything i do, too bad i'm usually the only one laughing!
