There's my first strike against co-sleeping. I just peeked at it in the mirror and my eye is all pink and throbbing. I am only hoping it doesn't turn black & blue... Ouchy!

And It's Really Shiny!
I might have something pink and shiny afterall for Mother's Day. I am up at 4:30 AM typing this after being kicked- more like heeled- in the eyeball. Gray's foot heeled me at full force (he's wild when he's awake and he's wild when he's asleep) right smack in the middle of my eye. I had heard him stirring and so my eye was even open at the time.
There's my first strike against co-sleeping. I just peeked at it in the mirror and my eye is all pink and throbbing. I am only hoping it doesn't turn black & blue... Ouchy!

Ouch! ICE!
ReplyDeleteWow, usually you get a heel in the back or chest, but your eye? yikes!
Hope it doesn't turn into a pretty shiner for you!
Oops,I can' figure out how, but I used my wrong google sign in! It's early...
ReplyDeleteOuch! Bubbie use to do that....when he was an infant. I remember the pain. He'd do it to my lip. I hope it gets better... Maybe ice?!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Both of my kids were good at throwing their head back into my lower lip.
ReplyDeleteIf it bruises, use makeup to match the other eye. Tell people you were going for the "smoky eye" look like Carmindy does on What Not To Wear. :-)
OUCH, Steph! I hope it gets feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds painful! We tend to have flying feet in our bed lately too.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you don't have a shiner!
Ouch! I bet that hurt. I've gotten a bloody lip from son before.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I hope you don't end up with a shiner!
ReplyDeleteYikes that sounds painful! You're having such a good attitude about it!
ReplyDeleteHope you get a nap in today!
Yes, pink and shiny is better than black and blue...
ReplyDeleteI guess it could be worse, like getting Pink eye...
ReplyDeleteOH NO, you poor thing. Maybe you'll match your new iPod??
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon.
Sounds like you need ice for the eye and a bed for Wildman Gray..
ReplyDeleteYeah...that sometimes happens in my bed too. Wild boys flailing all around and mama usually gets hit! Poor thing! Well, now you can't say that you didn't get anything for Mother's DAy. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe had to start making Monte sleep in his own bed eventually because he was such a wild sleeper I wasn't sleeping. Only getting beat up!!! Hunter was a great co-sleeper (still is when dad is gone) and so is Carter.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that can't feel good! Be sure to ice, ice, ice, if you get a chance!
ReplyDeleteHope your eye gets better soon!!
Jane, Pinks & Blues Girls
Yeah, I got a kick to the jugular last night...a few times actually. That's no good. And yours sounds even worse. It will be a great war story if it shows up in your mother's day pictures.
ReplyDeleteOUCH! How about this....
ReplyDeleteI was getting the boys' lunch ready and when I closed the pantry door I knocked my head. It was like a scene from the Three Stooges!!! What is wrong with me???
Happy Mother's Day, indeed! Hopefully it doesn't get all swollen. My hubby accidentally kung fooed me a few months ago in his sleep. At least he claims it was accidental. :-)
ReplyDeleteOwwweeeee!! I love it when my daughter goes horizontal in my bed and I end up sleeping at the other end of my bed because I've basically been kicked out.
ReplyDeletewe need a picture of this one.
ReplyDeleteOuch, sorry about that one.
ReplyDeleteI got hit in the eye in the middle of the night once too, but mine wasn't from a wiggly kid. It was from a wiggly hubby.
ouch that sounds so painful. Are you ok?
ReplyDeleteOh, gee, what moms go through! Hope you don't bruise or go blind or something!
ReplyDeleteCase in point for not co-sleeping for us! The peanut is all over the place when she's sleeping. It's actually quite comical, but not while you are sleeping next to her!
