I wanted to have a contest to give away some of the free stuff I've gotten lately in the mail and from my Google day...
After seeing People Magazine's Beautiful People issue featuring some of our favorite Stars Without Makeup, I thought wouldn't it be bold to do the same. Bloggers Without Makeup. Let's see how many of you are brave enough!
Most days if I'm just staying in the house, I wear minimal makeup. I have been known to go to the grocery store without makeup on occasion, and sometimes even Target! But I do still consider my concealer, eye liner, & mascara as necessities in life!
But for this contest, I'll reveal myself before concealer, before photoshop, (like you've never used the blemish editor or cropped a bit of your arm in a photo?) little freckles, bags, & all. Now I'm encouraging you to do the same- it's ok if you style your hair or not- just don't wear any makeup. If you even want to do a black & white photo or get creative, that's ok, too.
And if you just aren't comfortable posting a picture, you can still enter by posting about the contest and linking back to it here.
Just be sure to post the link to your contest in the Mr. Linky below, and leave a comment to let me know you're baring all with me!
On Monday May 7th at 9 AM* (Central), I'll randomly pick TWO winners from the Linky List to receive a fun prize package... and as I keep receiving things in the mail (people send me free stuff from time to time!) I don't need to post photos of myself without makeup since that's the only kind I've ever posted anyway, but you can bet I'll be back to see what everyone else is brave enough to share. This cracks me up. VERY clever and whoever wins, well, she'll definitely deserve it. :-)

The last time i went without makeup someone asked me if I was sick - NO... I had just forgot to apply it before going into work...

You are one of those enviable women who don't need makeup to be beautiful. I look like someone punched me in both eyes without mascara, although I rarely bother with it these days. It's hard to cover up 7 months of less than 4 hours of sleep a night:)

this is a GREAT post, steph. i have about a zillion pics with NO make-up, as since i've had hailey, i barely wear any at all. i NEVER used to be caught without make-up before!

I thought about posting a pic of me without makeup and then realized two things: 1) Most people see me without make up on 80% of the time so no one would be shocked:) 2) I haven't figured out how to make my pics small enough to upload onto my new blog. How silly is that? I need to study up on that one.

oh - you are brave! But you know - I am sooooo lazy that I go out without makeup ALL the time. I try to hide behind my sunglasses, but one can't really grocery shop in sunglasses! LOL

Ok I took a picture and put it on my blog and when I went to check it, it was way darker then when it was on the camera. And I think you look great without make-up on, a natural beauty!

You do look lovely in your picture. I have to say that I almost always wear makeup. It is a symptom of having bad skin way back in high school. Got into the habit and never got out of the habit.

Well, now I'm glad I posted my pic, it may have something good come of it! I posted it some time ago because it was so funny. My 3yo dd figured out how to take a picture with a digital camera and I was shocked!
I promise...no make-up, even on my wedding day! I NEVER wear make up, so I could pretty much pick any picture of myself that i have! :) This contest is such a fun idea though!!!

I always love a challenge. It won't be too hard for me, I am more of the natural /outdoorsy type. You will usually find me sporting no more than lip gloss and mascara.

Great idea! I think I have plenty of friends that wear makeup everyday, but I have never gotten the hang of it. I think people look so beautiful when they are all natural.

This sounds like a really fun contest. A lot of times I go out without makeup, but when it comes to pictures, or going somewhere nice (or with my mom), I wear makeup. It was nice to take a picture without thinking I needed to get gussied up for it.
Now I'm not gonna claim that I hate makeup...every somewhat feminine woman enjoys enhancing her natural beauty! {I tried to say that where I wouldn't offend anyone}
BUT IT SUCKS when your oompa busy and then you begin to sweat and then it smudges and smears and rubbs off on clothes...you know.
But I totally agree with Alysons' comment! For the sake of our daughters we have to STOP being so superficial!!!
