I just googled your question and here's what I found: YKK is the company that makes zippers. YKK was called Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha, but 60 years later the company changed its company name to match its brand name. The privately held YKK Co. is headquartered in Japan and is made up of 80 companies at 206 facilities in 52 countries. YKK makes the entire zipper including the dyed cloth and the brass used to make the zipper.
Hee hee. Reminds me of when I was in first grade. (I have the most random memories...) My friends and I would run around the playground, and we had a club. Only if a kid's zipper was a "YKK" zipper could they join us...lol! We ran across the playground shouting "YKK!"
Why I remember this, I don't know. Why I did this, I know even less...LOL!
I love those, "How it's made" shows. I watched how they make zippers and it is so cool. Hey, did you also know that the Zipper that we use still today was first invented in Canada!!!
:-)
Just another bit of usual material for the next party!!
Somehow I knew what was coming after you spelled zipper. How did I know? I cheated - I have 4 children who are older than your kids... and they all thought PP was hilarious. lol!
Oh, that's too funny!! What does the YKK stand for anyway?
