I just posted one of my favorite photographs ever here (or just see the post below.) Not only is it the most darling picture ever, but it also had an eventful story behind it, too.
Soon after that shot, we were rushing to the ER. That's how we found out Noah is allergic to bunny rabbits. Ick. Hives and everything.
The photo studio felt so bad and ever since then they do several "bunny-free" days around Easter time in case some kids are sensitive to the soft furred rabbits. They know when we call to schedule our appointment on a day no rabbits will be in. This photo was also included in some advertising, too. Of course I think the picture is worthy of that, but I also think they felt really bad about the whole situation. And I guess you could say that was the beginning of Carter's modeling career.
Who knew that such a cute prop would cause so many problems. I had no idea studios did that. I just thought you were a cool mom that got the kids a pet for Easter! I already knew you were a cool mom of course, so my opininion hasn't changed, I was just saying... you know.
ReplyDeleteCarter is such a handsome model!
I had no idea either that they did this with bunny's it is adorable....except of the hives!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is an adorable picture! It seems to me that there is never a dull moment with you guys! ; )
ReplyDeleteAww poor Noah! He really had a rough start in life didn't he? It is a really cute pic though.
ReplyDeleteSneezes and hives are no good! You'd never guess from the photo! And Carter's modeling photo's - ahh! He looks like such a little man, so grown up in those!
ReplyDeleteAww...what a cute picture, but I'm sure that was a scary visit to the ER. My hubby is allergic to rabbits too. It's the only thing he really reacts to severely. Thanks for sharing the adorable pic of the kids!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm hoping it wasn't too bad of an experience if it's still one of your favorite photos ever. Poor Noah!
ReplyDeleteWho knew he's be allergic to rabbits? Our photo place last year used a fake one... probably best!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your "flashback" picture, too. I didn't wear glasses when I was that age, but I looked just as awesome! I cringe to look at my hair back in those days. I can't believe my mom let me out of the house sometimes! ;-)
he'd be allergic...good grief, you'd never know I used to be an English teacher! Although, that sounded like most of my students. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHe'd never survive at our house. Our backyard is FULL of them but not by our choice. It drives my hubs NUTS and it doesn't matter how often he chases them off. They just loooove his garden!
ReplyDeleteHey Stephanie, I wanted to invite you to join me in Thankful Thursdays, it's explained on my blog. It's just something I've started to help me count my blessing. Hey, by the way, I love the new profile pic, your hair cut is awesome!
