So today is the big start of the Ultimate Blog Party over at
5 Minutes For Mom. Everyone is going and everyone is invited!
It's definitely my kind of party. I am not much of a party-goer, and any event that allows me to stay at home

So, to be a good hostess, I'd probably offer you some yummy eats from Tasty Vegan, and if you were wondering what in the heck is babywearing, then I'd tell you a little about that and also then tell you how to get yourself a beautiful sling here.
If we really got into some deep discussions, you'd find out that our family and friends will be walking as The Buddy Bears for our 3rd Epilepsy Walk in Chicago this spring, in honor of my 6-year old son Noah- who, Praise God, has been healed! I am still nursing my 16 month old- and loving it- and I have some pretty strong concerns about vaccinations as well.
But, I'm not all serious! There's lots of fun things in between. If you get a chance, you are even invited to Blog My Blog!
Oh, and on Monday please play along with a photo tag of your favorite pregnant belly pics, and be sure to check back here for new posts daily!
Now please tell me where to find you and I'll stop by for a visit, too!

ReplyDeleteOkay, first of all. 113 comments! Good NIGHT! But anyways, thanks for stopping by and putting your 2 cents in on my American Idol recap. Love your haircut, by the way! (That's you and your son in the picture I assume.) I just weaned my 3rd child at 16 mos, but I nursed my others much longer. I miss nursing. Sigh... Never figured out that sling deal, though. Mine's gathering dust, lol! Maybe if I'd found your site sooner, I'd have managed to figure it out.

Cool party. Now mine seems kinda lame. But yea. Hiyas from the party! Wish I'd had a sling for my son...maybe for the next one. :)
ReplyDeleteJust popping in for the party. You have a cute layout. I love the fact that you've breastfed for 16 months. I was always pro breastfeeding, yet even my own extended family didn't understand. Way to go, mom!
ReplyDeleteHello, Stephanie! I'm visiting via the Party & I'm really loving your blog! I breastfed my first 2 for over 2 years each - much to the chagrin of my friends. And I loved my sling, too! Good for you!

ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Party!
My 2-yr-old daughter is the last of my four kids to be worn around the house. I love the closeness it brings when baby is worn by a parent. Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteCome on over to my place when you get a chance!
Hi, there! I surfed over from a comment you left me. Thanks for the visit! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE baby wearing! Got a ring sling that I lived with up until my middle child turned 18 months or so, and now, my newest baby hates the ring sling, so I think I'm going to make myself a wrap here soon and see if she doesn't like it!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo on the nursing for that long! I made it to 16 months with my middle child, and am at 3 months with our new baby!
And what a wonderful story on your Noah! (((hugs)))
Hi! Just stopping by to visit during the blog party. Really enjoyed reading through your blog. I appreciated your post on vaccinations as I came to similar conclusions with my 3rd child. There is a great Canadian website on vaccine risk info that you might want to visit... very supportive of the work in the US to promote awareness on vaccine risk: www.vran.org.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to visit again. I think the baby wearing is wonderful!
Julie-Anne
It's so nice to meet you! I can't wait to check out some of these links you've shared. I'll definitely be back! =)
ReplyDeleteFun party! Thanks for having me.
ReplyDeleteGreat party Stephanie. So glad to hear about your 6 year old (I'll have to read archives to get the full story there).
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the party .. we actually have a few things in common so I will surely be back to read some more!
Just stopped by for the party! Love the site! I have 8 children and just began doing the sling thing with this last one, I wish I had done it for all of them! I have also turned anti-vax after side effects with one of our children and the recent diognosis of autism with a cousin.
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog if you have a chance!
Kristine/MamaArcher
Hello!
ReplyDeleteJust mingling around the "par-taay."
I have three children too! They're the whole reason behind my blog (as is for about 99.99% of us--haha).
Cyah around...
AV
I'm here for the party! It's nice to meet you. I think your baby sling is such a great idea and I will definitely remember this when my family begins to grow! Come bisit me...
ReplyDeleteIt was great to learn a little bit more about you. I think slings are great. It is nice to find someone who is so passionate about their children.
ReplyDeleteAnd way to go for the nursing. I breastfed my first for 15 months. It is great!
I have been pregnant or nursing for the past 4 1/2 years. My youngest is currently 3 months so we are pretty much always attached.
ReplyDeleteJess
I am a total believer in BabyWearing! I wore out 3 slings in my career as a mother to 4 boys. Glad to see you promoting such an important activity on your site.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for stopping by my blog in your party hopping! You've got a fun blog!
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to say hi as the Party draws to a close :) I'm a baby-wearing extended breast feeding Mummy to 3 boys also! My boys are 5, 3 and 11 months old.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come by and say hi! I am swinging in a little late from the Blog Party because I have been out of town.
ReplyDeleteLove the babywearing...miss it actually, hopefully soon again! ;)
ReplyDeleteUm wow- I am commenting on a year old blog post. I found it because I'm checking out this year's blog party and wanted ideas for what to do for mine. I'm thinking I'll drink a margarita and see what kind of jibberish I can write.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow- the point of this was that you have words strategically crossed out in your post- I've only seen that on wordpress blogs before. As pathetic as this is, I have been trying to figure out how to cross things out for a long time.
Be a doll please and help me figure this out, would ya? Please enlighten me. I am a babywearer,t oo. In fact we're currently sporting a Black Moby, although I removed the Moby tag and embellished the center point with a rhinestone butterfly. In case you wondered. I hated the tag.
Nice to meet you! Looking forward to checking out the links on your site.
ReplyDelete
