I'm There! Au Revoir!

The Crazy Hip Blog Mamas are asking where you'd like to be today. I honestly think if hubby and I were given the choice to go anywhere we wanted right now, we'd be on the next flight to Paris. And we'd only go if we could take the kids with us!

We honeymooned there, and are familiar with the surroundings. What an amazing country to introduce to our children- we hope someday.

There are times we'll breathe in the fall air, or a cool breeze, and reminisce about our holiday in Pair-ee.

And after this week... it's just been a long week... I'd love to be there!

  1. Okay, I'd take Paris as I think I'd have a hard time finding that croissant in Capri.

  2. Oh, I had such an opposite experience in France. People there were so rude, particularly when they found out I could speak very little French. Even when they could speak English they just refused. It was so strange! But, it was a really beautiful country!

  3. Oh if you ever come back to Paris, you're welcome to hop over to Belgium as well (Paris-Brussels: 1h train ride). I like guiding people around in our historic cities :).

  4. I'm right there with you on that! I've visited France 3 times now (my husbands family is from there) and it is a beautiful place - a great honeymoon destination. We took D there 2 years ago and he loved it - if you take the kids, go somewhere with castles... those are definite kid pleasers.

  5. Amy- I am so sorry to hear you didn't have as nice of a time as I did! I've been twice- the first time was kind of a "finding myself" trip before I met hubby, and it really worked because I got lots of things straightened out in my heart and mind, then meet hubby a couple months later! But I had good experiences both times!

And goofball- I'd love to go to Belgium! I've only been to Switzerland before when I was in France the 1st time.

And Melissa- the castles are one of my favorite memories of France!! My boys would LOVE it! And Mont St. Michel. Did you go there? Loved that place!

  14. Salut!

I have to say that with the Eurostar fast train going from Central London to Central Paris in 2 and a half hours....I love it. You get off and you are a 10-15 minute cab ride to the Eiffel Tower! I have been 4 times in the past year and can't get enough!

I hope that you can get there soon!

  16. oooooooooooooh, you honeymooned in Paris? HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!

Okay, I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I've never traveled out of the country except to go to Canada. Hello!? I need to get out and see the world one of these days. Hubby and I are hoping as soon as our son gets a little older to plan a family trip to England since that's where his mom is from and he still has tons of relatives there. We're gonna do it!!! We've got to!!

  17. Don't be embarrassed, yerdoingitwrong. I've only been outside the US to Canada, too, and THAT'S only because I was driving a truck and I had to haul vegies to Vancouver, BC.
I've always secretly wanted to go to Paris. Another fantastic dream...but I'm so happy that you could go. What precious photos.
