Help! I Am Somewhere Under All These Dishes!

The play kitchen, and how it looked as the boys said, "Look our dishes are just like Mommy's."

Which, folks, is very true.

The house was so nice and clean and organized on Friday afternoon. Why just two days later does it look like a couple tornadoes came through?

If I make my way out from under all the dishes and crumbs on the floor, and you still haven't heard from me, I just might have finally made my escape. I'll send you a postcard...

  1. That is so funny! Whenever I clean, SlowMo always says "who's coming over?" Nice huh?

  3. He he he he! I see we are having similar weekends ;-)

RYC - boxers are, in our experience, wonderful with kids. They are like a permanent puppy, very playful, loyal, and happy dogs. However, with newly walking kiddos, it isn't a really good mix to have a large 60 plus pound puppy. Remo did okay when Boo was a crawler, walker but we used the baby gate a lot to keep the two separated as her new mobility made him very nervous for a while (he kept trying to "herd" her)

Best Wishes! Hope the dishes elves came to your house and washed all those up for you LOL

  4. LOL! If it's any consolation, that's what my dishes look like a lot of the time too! But with 6 of us, it's hard to keep up! Good luck.

  6. That is the question of my LIFE. How in the world does a spotless house go to pot in 2 days?? When you figure this out & learn how to make it stop..please let me know. =)

  7. The house gets messy b/c hubby is home from work, kids home from school, mom (thinking it's the weekend) tries to relax...because she thinks her "helpmate" is home and he could help keep things tidy. Big, mistake. Let your guard down for 24 hours and it all goes to h*ll!! Then it takes all day Monday to get things back into order.

I have noticed the same trend in our home as well. But, weekends are for spending time together as a family, so let the dishes stack up! LOL!

  9. I have a friend who says, "We live all weekend as if the maid is coming on Monday . . . and then on Monday I realize I'm the maid."

It's pretty much the story here, too.

  17. Hi I just found your blog and I love the title. I wore all three of my kids. And it seems like I can never keep my house clean any longer than 24 hours so two days is GREAT! I've actually kind of given up on totally clean presentable is good for me :)

  18. I'm having many similar scenes with my own dishes at the moment because my foot has been very thoroughly taped up by the physiotherapist to keep me from doing anything I shouldn't. I do one lot of dishes in the morning and then I stack them up for the rest of the day to wait for dh's return from work.
But if I rest it will get better soon. So trying hard to tell myself the dishes don't matter. And not looking when I need to shuffle through the kitchen.
BTW I've got Tendonitus and Plantar Fasciitus in my ankle.
