It's Christmas Break

I've been in my pj's all day long. And that's okay!

We're making tents, forts, & caves in the living room.

Wouldn't it be fun to take your nap in a cave, boys?!

Yay! say the kids.

Yay! says me.

Hubby says we can go out for dinner tonight.

Yay! says me. But I have to get out of my pj's?

Alllll-right.

  9. Aren't those the best kind of days?!

I wanted to ask you a sling question. :) I followed your site from thebabywearer.com waaaay back when (looking at mei tais) and have kind of been lurking since.

I have a ring sling that I LOVE, but now that my son is older, and sooo much bigger (33 1/2 inches and 26 lbs, and he's only 2 weeks older than Grayson!), I've been wanting to wear him, especially during cold and flu season, but the ring sling is not nearly as comfy.

Have you noticed a difference in the mei tai with a bigger toddler, or is it about the same? I have a front sling that wasn't that comfortable with him to begin with and I'm afraid the mei tai will be the same.

Sorry for the long post, and thanks!!

  10. Mir- thanks for commenting! I would say that the mei tai is a JOY to wear baby- especially a larger baby. I think it's definitely my favorite & most comfortable sling. I am phasing out of my ring slings and hoping to get an adjustable pouch in the next few weeks- I tried one on and found that it was more comfy for Gray's size and wearing on the hip. I'd like to use that for my everyday errands- it's a quicker alternative to the mei tai. Of all the slings, I think the mei tai is the best (that I've tried) for larger kids and for wearing long periods of time. I got mine off a mama barter group and you can check thebabywearer.com forums for trades, (or just buy one new!) etc. It really didn't take long to get really good at putting it on and taking it off!
