Show Me!

Blogger Goddess Extraordinaire Jess at

O Mama Mia wants you to show off your Inner Domestic Goddess...

Are you in suburban bliss? Do you get lost in your kitchen, flouring the hours
away, baking? Do you love your home? Or maybe you're in suburban turmoil &
you live amongst desperate housewives? Show Me!! Let me hear all about it!

I find myself lost in domestic bliss especially in fall and winter. I love to try new recipes for soups and chili, and just found a new one I am going to simmer up this week- the copycat recipe for Olive Garden's Minestrone soup- See recipe here! I also can make a tasty-sweet spaghetti sauce... secret ingredient is lots of brown sugar! And hubby's favorite (other than my spaghetti) is also my peanutty pad Thai.

Give me my garlic press, fancy apron, and a good CD in my under-the-counter CD player (see far left of picture) and I am one happy housewife.

I had to include one major indulgence as of late- if I am truly in suburban bliss, I'll be enjoying my iced chai latte... like my cute Petunia Pig glass?

You must check out the other glamorous participants
here & please play along if you dare...

  2. Where did you get that book! I want one! And is that garlic press from Pampered Chef? (If it is, I have the same one!) Oh and my husband got me one of those under the counter CD players for Christmas. I guess he figured it'd keep me in the kitchen more...and he was right! :) Great post!!

One more thing..I'm going to use that soup recipe...now if only I could find the chicken soup recipe from Carrabas and I'd be set!

  3. I love to cook! Yesterday I made bread and someone asked me what it was for. I said just for fun. They thought I was crazy. But, I love to bake, love to try new recipes, etc.

  5. Is that a Pampered Chef garlic press I see? I don't know where I would be in the kitchen without my PC garlic press. I'm not even kidding. Whenever I cook I use it. I LOVE IT. I love a lot of my PC stuff.

  6. I can get all the chai I want at work, but we don't sell the cartons. You can't find it anywhere else, either. I wish I could make it at home!

I love, love, love to cook/bake, but it has been very challenging here.

  7. Yes! The garlic press (among many other things cluttering my cabinets and drawers!) is Pampered Chef all the way, baby!

Also, I should fess up that What's Cooking In My Kitchen today is nothing fancy, but good ol' Rice Krispie Treats!

  10. YUM!! Pad Thai is my favorite (my hubby bought me a great cookbook last year) and I LOVE fall cooking with all the great squashes and seasonal items. Did I mention I'm a pumpkin addict? Especially when pregnant! I have made everything imaginable, even pumpkin gnocchi. That's going a wee bit overboard. :-)

  15. All of these GREAT domestic photos make me realize how pathetic I am. I don't even know what a garlic press is or does or looks like! But I do have a Pampered Chef chopper. We use it a lot. :) Thanks for playing.
