Everyday Mommy has a weekly feature called Everyday Things.
What an awesome lesson of God's love, when you have children. I will never forget the moment I personally felt the ultimate realization that God actually sacrificed & gave up His only child to die... for us. I was rocking my baby, my firstborn son, hugging him so tight at that moment and could not imagine ever making that choice. How did He do it? Could He truly love us that much? Amazing.

1 John 4:9
This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.
P.S. I wanted to add that I left that as a comment here: http://ourlittlemiracle.blogspot.com/2006/06/our-family-bubble_21.html
ReplyDeleteAmazing love, indeed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post. I have thought about that myself since having Liam. It is heartbreaking to think about, but such a blessing to know that God and His Son love us that much!
ReplyDeleteGray looks younger in this photo... Liam is a couple weeks younger than him and has a toddler look to him these days. Maybe this photo was taken after first waking up? Liam looks more new when he is first waking up.
I think Gray does look different here, too! He doesn't look chubby at all in real life. Somehow the photo I captured here gives him a sweet baby look!
ReplyDeleteI've always told others that God's love was revealed to me more after having children. We get a taste of real SACRIFICAL love!!!
ReplyDeletePS Do I see a little of NOAH is the top photo???? I sure do!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGray reminds me of Noah more & more lately, so yes! I think so!
ReplyDeletePrecious pictures and a precious message. :)
ReplyDeleteOur ultimate everyday gift - Jesus.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post and beautiful photos! Don't you love those moments of perspective? Thanks again for this post- I needed a nudge to listen to God today and you stubbed my toe!
ReplyDeletePS - I'm still looking forward to hearing your "Fifth Grade" story!
I'm still working on my fifth grade story! I wanted to have a chance to really write that one. Maybe I can finally have it for Sunday or Monday's post! Hopefully others will participate, too! For those interested, check out New Mama's Nest (Xav's Mama) and her "Fifth Grade" post.
ReplyDeletewe do tend to forget God in our daily life.. thanks for that reminder... its also amazing how we all speak of our breastfeeding and birth experiences openly yet find it so hard to talk about the role God plays in our lives...
ReplyDeleteI love the toes!!
ReplyDeleteWould you look at those adorable toes! I want to eat 'em up!!
ReplyDeleteCarrie
Very cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteI understood this better too when I had my first child.
