a little perspective

I am not sure if it's even possible, but I try to be very sensitive to Carter's personality as the middle child... and today I was observing him with Gray and thought what a neat perspective he has to share with his little brother.

Carter was once the little brother, too, and can relate (if a 3-year old can relate, which I think they can) and I am so happy he gets to be the big brother, too, because he'll be able to experience Gray looking up to him.

We don't ever want Carter to feel stuck in the middle- and most likely he'll be sharing the "middle" with Gray someday when we expand our family even more!

  1. I think its super important to make the middle child feel like he has a SPECIAL place too. Our middle child keeps, but we go on just as much about the middle ones as we do the oldest and the baby. Levi is smack dab in the middle between our 5 and he now brags that he is the MIDDLE-MIDDLE. This has made me feel really good. BTW thanks for posting that list, I commented back to ya over there. Great List!!!

  2. Hey thanks for coming by my blog. Your boys are so cute. Well I only have one little guy right now, so I don't have to worry about the middle child thing yet.

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. You have two sweet boys there. I also have two boys and Logan is a middle child. I was a middle child as well. Your boys will probably grow up and be inseparable. :)

  4. What a cute outfit!

I got the fortune of being not only a middle child, but the oldest as well (I have a little bro. who's my full bro., and two older siblings who are halves). I got a little of both worlds. I have to say, I much enjoyed the role as older kid more than younger one!

Your comment is gonna totally make my day!
